hi all,

Looking for some help. Installed a kicker hideaway but unfortunately it is not auto powering on. My biggest hunch is I have the rear speakers hooked up incorrectly. The hideaway comes with a built in loc. I see power but no sound. So just in case I thought it might be the unit I picked up another one with the same problem. So now I know it’s definitely something I wired wrong. Only six wires to hook up so power and ground I got that right. I read here in the forums that the colors for the rear goes as the following
Blue RL +
White RL -
Yellow RR+
Brown RR -
I have Posi-Taps going to the rear of the deck according to the above. I have a 2018 sport lx. Unless the above is for an ex only?? Thanks all.

What steps did you take when you installed the sub?
How did you run your wires through the car for power and signal?

Put my kicker in last month, sounds great. The wires are super easy to tuck away so nobody sees them. The sound is definitely much better than the stock speakers and also takes a load off them not having to put out alot of bass like they used to

I mounted mine under the passenger seat so I didnt take up trunk space. Theres not any audible vibration noise but if you sat in the passenger seat you would definitely feel it

The sound of the kicker gives a good amount of bass. I put it under the driver seat. Less wiring to run. Also My sport model can raise the seat on the driver side where as the passenger side does not raise for easier installation.

I chose the passenger seat because if someone needs to lower the drivers seat to use the car they wouldn't be able to unless the sub was removed

I probably lost about 4 pumps to go all the way down. But never thought anyone would sit that low. But also didn’t need to modify my carpet at all. Carpet gives the kicker some protection from kicks. Probably would have gained another pump on the seat if I cut the carpet. Also feeling the vibration is kind of nice:p

I forgot to mention that I sit with the seat in its lowest position. But I could have dealt with the seat being raised to fit the sub.
