Rear (Amber) turn signal bulbs

has anyone swapped them out for red bulbs, if you did what brand bulbs did you use ?

Red bulbs are ok. Other vehicles have them...Audi...Acura...etc...prefer the look of the amber better to compliment the front amber lights on my headlights and side mirrors.

My preference is amber. Think they are much more visible, especially in bad weather and/or when the brakes are applied.

I think amber are much better. I actually think they should be compulsory. There are times when I'm driving and in bright sunlight you barely can see if someone's signal is on if they have red bulbs. I'm glad my car comes with amber bulbs.

Red and amber are both legal for turn signal applications, but red will produce less visible output than a comparable amber bulb FWIW.

I personally prefer amber turn signals if the tail light lens is clear. You won't want to put a red bulb behind an amber lens or vice versa.
