Feel like 1k for a wheel and tire combo would be next to impossible, most of that will be cost of tires alone. I don't like to cheap out on tires since I feel like that is not only a performance item but a safety item. After having a close call under normal driving circumcises with cheaper tires that should have never happened will never go that route again.

Noted, do 8 width wheels fit on the Type R? Tire rack says it goes down to even 7.5, but I'm just not sure and don't want to risk it. I'm looking at 18 inch Flow F4's which I like more than the F3's, but the 3's do go up to 8.5.
sorry, just noticed you asked this. I don't see why they wouldn't....I wouldn't go any less than a 8" width rim for performance reasons

Agreed. I've decided on either the Flow One race spec F4 which is a new company, but US based and flow formed wheel, or the Enkei Draco which is known to be reputable but is an anthracite color so I'm not sure how the contrast would be against the polished metal.

Does anyone have any information on the Advan Racing TC-4? Kamispeed says they're supposed to ship in September.
18x9.5 +35 5-120 batch is coming in September, all finishes except red are available. I can order 18x9 +53 5-120 as well but those are select finishes only

FWIW, for a $2k budget and all-seasons, I would go for the Pilot Sport AS3+ and the Motegi MR924. In winter, I would want the highest possible offset currently available in non-OE wheels, and the Motegi's are the least expensive high-offset (greater than ET50) wheels that I know of. (I use factory-offset ET60 wheels in winter, but those are outside your price range.)

What Tire and any rubbing issues? Any Torque Steer? Trying to find something as close to stock as possible, still look good, and has more tire. Need this since I'm in Michigan where the roads are absolutely terrible because our local governments steal our tax dollars. Thanks in advance.

Check out @romiata and his build thread, he's had his wheels for almost 1 year and put a lot of street and track miles on them, BTW we have bronze, white, and gloss black in that spec instock so let me know if you want a price :D

As stated by @Kami Speed. Romita and I were some of the first to sport the following wheel. Torque steer? haha, it's an old subject but none. That's a silly question lol. On a serious note, the set-up (18x9 +50) was super safe and conservative, no rubbing issues. Its the same spec as the OEM. Go to www.willtheyfit.com to determine this. Additionally, the tire spec was 245/45. Hankook Ventus Evo 2.

On a final note, my wheel spec is super old. Got mine back in July 2017. You might want to do the research on this post to find better options.

Really appreciate the input. I think that Gold looks sick on the black. I have black as well. My GF doesn't like it but I don't care what she thinks. I'm the one driving it and I F@!#$@# love it.

I keep seeing people ask about torque steer...has someone actually got any from having a wheel with way different offset? I would think it wouldn't cause this, as the suspension on the front is what is keeping us from having torque steer...

Yes. However, people whose driving habits mean that they don't experience torque steer with the stock setup may also not experience (markedly increased) torque steer with lessor offsets.
