This has now happened twice in the past two weeks...when I turn on my Civic (2016 touring model), the navigation/infotainment screen doesn’t come on. The audio doesn’t work, cameras, navigation, nothing works since the screen is blacked out. The lit up options on the left of the screen, like the reset and menu options are not lit either. I turn off the car, wait 5 min and turn it back on but still nothing. But if I wait 2-3 hours then turn it on, the system is working again.

Honda said they can’t do anything unless I bring it in with the problem...unfortunately both times it happened the dealer wasn’t open. This last time, and maybe the first time (not sure) when I turned on the car and the screen powered up again, it had the message ‘anti theft system - this system has lost power. Push and hold the power button for more than 2seconds to enable the system.’

If anyone have any ideas please let me know. I am hoping next time it happens I can take it directly to the dealer, but so far I haven’t had the chance.

Can you try making a video of the problem occurring, and all the steps you try to do to fix it? Maybe that amount of documentation and troubleshooting could help show that the problem exists and open up a warranty replacement of the stereo.
