And the files are a supported type? (Not sure what that list is, exactly. Start with one .mp3 in the root folder and work your way up to what you really want to do.)
Yeah, I've tried a single .mp3 file. I've also tried an 800x480 jpeg file.

Anyone know what how to fix my USB problem? Whenever I plug in a USB flash drive, the system recognizes that it's plugged in but it doesn't read it. I've tried numerous flash drives. Formatted it to Fat32, using the right files for the car to read. But, the car just doesn't want to read the USB. I've hooked it up onto the center console and also below the infotainment system.
Which OS are you using? And have you tried ExFAT?

Yeah, it needs to be Si or Sport Touring (I think Sport has it too) to be red. You can't change the colour. It's blue in the lower trims and red in the higher ones. I don't know exactly why they do this, as I always preferred the blue but am now stuck with the red.
I have a sport touring, and It does has red theme dash

Have had my EX-L Navi for 2 weeks or so now, a couple of frustrations with the Infotainment, hoping someone has tips.

1) I get a "Device not connected" message if I turn the car on, but the phone is not connected. I dont always connect my phone, kind of annoying. Is this because it defaults to whatever the last audio source was (Apple Car Play). Even so, that's kind of double annoying because there's still BT audio, and it could always just

2) Switching between audio sources using the steering wheel controls doesn't bring up the equivalent menu/screen on the touchscreen. For instance, going from Apple Play, to FM Radio using the steering wheel changes the audio but does not bring up the radio controls on the touchscreen. I have to manually change the display to get to the Radio controls.

3) The steering wheel controls just go MIA randomly. I'll go to change the volume or toggle something and they just dont work. I either have to restart the system or wait it out.

Well yeah..... Other than the Type-R, the Sport Touring is the highest trim you can get on the hatchback..... (I have the Sport Touring, which is why I'm not sure about if the Sport has the red or not.)

It does in Canada. The US Sport trims are far less equipped than the Sport in Canada. In the US, they don’t have the colour LCD driver interface or the display audio system.

Read this whole thread and checked user manual. When I got the car last week, the song and band title would scroll beside the FM station number and name. Somehow, it doesn't show the song name and band anymore. It only will show it on a different screen when you press show title text or something like that. I liked it before when it scrolled all info on the station page. Anyone help with this?

I also get this and dislike it.

I can get the swipe to mute to work but I get it to work on the volume on the display under the power button. Super fast swipe down will mute mine. I never got steering wheel to mute.
My steering wheel mute works, starting point will be top of volume button then swipe down fast all the way down...it's hit and miss sometimes but works most of the time.

also I found this video on youtube, don't know if the same process works for us but maybe one of you will be brave enough to try lol, this guy has a way to install apps on his honda infotainment system and demonstrates it.

can we add own custom skin?
If by skin you mean wallpaper, yes you can. There is a thread here about it. You can use an image 800 x 480, jpg, and put it into the root directory of the usb you plug into the storage bin and then select it you would on any android device.

You change the layout by holding your finger and it will automatically enter Home Sxreen Edit Order. Then move the tile around or to another page. It is similar to android or iOS. But you select the trash can to delete an app/tile.

There are a couple ways you can change the background but it's buried deep. Go into "Settings", then "System", then select "Detail Information" at the very bottom. Then you'll enter the Android Settings page. From there select "Display", then "Wallpaper", you can then select one of the cool live wallpapers or system wallpapers. You can also put .jpgs on a USB and up them to your gallery and make one your wallpaper.

This audio system is not intuitive at all. It is pretty sad. The majority of car owners don't want to deal with the complexity. They should have made it as simple as possible like Chrysler did with their Uconnect format. I haven't met anyone that hates that user interface.
How do you get the jpgs from the jump drive to the gallery?

I'm finding that the live wallpaper only works with the car stopped. If in motion, it reverts to the static wallpaper.
Did you ever find a fix for this ? Having the same problem and it really irks me. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t
