What lug nuts are you using? I have a set of NSX rims inbound and I want black lug nuts that work with the OEM wheels.

Whatever you do, do not use the black OEM CTR nuts from Honda UK on NSX wheels. You will. It be able to get a 22mm socket on to tighten them since the holes of the NSX wheels are smaller than stock 20” CTR wheel holes. I’m using 17mm Motorsports black open ended nuts (see black nuts ideas thread).

Didn't know that. I have the UK black 22mm black lugs. Didn't know you couldn't crank them on the NSX wheels....:(

That’s weird. You would think the UK OEM black lug nuts would work just like our OEM lug buts do. Several members are using the OEM nuts on the NSX rims based on forum post.

You can if you can get a thin wall 22mm socket else you can’t tighten them.

Anybody used aluminum valve stems with the NSX rims? I can't stand the OEM rubber valve stems.

19x8.5ET53 OZ Ultraleggera HLT's now available in two colours @ TireRack:
- black painted, $419
- matte graphic silver, $459
The 22mm thin walls are hard to find. I finally found mine at advantage auto parts.
7/8" 6-pt works fine as long as you're not using an impact gun - and, in any case, Honda nuts do/will show surface rust if you use an impact gun.

I finally got around to getting my NSX Y spoke rims mounted. Really like the look. I decided to use the OEM CTR center caps. The black trim goes OK with the black lug nuts IMHO. I do have 4 OEM Honda center caps I'll be selling soon. They are the ones provided by GRP to match the wheels. Let me know if anyone wants them. Thanks.

So I guess this thread might be the best for this question, what do people think about tire sizes for this car? Bridgestone have several sizes that can be mounted to the 19x8.5 wheels. All have different 2nd gear gearing impact. From what I can find the stock tire size gives you 62mph in 2nd. 265/40/19 gives you almost 66mph in 2nd. The 285/35/19 is about 64.5. 265/35/19 is about 63mph. And the mystical BFG Rival S in 19s that is rumored to surface (eventually) is going to be 275/35/19, which is about 64mph. Not having actually autocrossed this car yet, how much of a difference between the few MPH differences of tire sizes do you feel on course, given that this is a 306 horsepower car with plenty of torque....
