It’s actually really easy to take apart.
I think *easy* is relative :) I was also nervous about doing it. My fear was breaking clips. I remember breaking clips on my old mr2 :( . But I do have to say that the trim pieces I've removed on the civicx were pretty painless (atleast the pieces required to install a boomba shifter knob).

Check out the vids. With the right tools and following the instructions you should have no problems. I’ve taken it apart easily 10 times.

Make sure that you have a set of angled picks. I cannot stress this enough.

There are a bunch of wire harnesses attached to mounting points by these plastic clips, which are almost impossible to remove without an angled pick. You will need to thread the pick in between the disk surrounding the clip and the mount, angle it through the hole, and push the tabs in while gently pulling outward on the back of the clip. They get easier with practice, but in general they can slow the job down significantly.
