Whoa there, I'm not disagreeing with you. I was stating what I was told by Honda, as well as the dealership. But if you get confirmation that it's the Wastegate actuator, and get it professionally diagnosed, then submit that claim to Honda. I posted the directions on how to do so in an earlier reply. I would also like to see this issue fixed.

Sorry, my !!!! are directed at Honda, not you. I'm beyond frustrated with them at this point. Dealer's Tech is trying to tell me that this sound is normal. I'm not sure what planet is he living on. ..
I will post further updates.

Whether the sound is normal or not, I want it diagnosed correctly. If they can prove to me that its 100% the calipers and show me why its normal, I'll accept that. It just doesn't seem like the calipers to me. If you can get the issue with the wastegate actuator resolved, and that fixes the issue with the sound, then you can throw that in Honda's face, and I can get my car to the dealership and fix mine.

I’m having the same “issue” in my 2018. The noise has been present since I drove off the lot at 9 miles (only at 180 now). Very curious to see what the problem actually is, or where it is.

It's your wastegate actuator. Fight the dealer about it.

Yeah its nothing to worry about. Pop your hood and wiggle the wastegate actuator and you will recognize the noise.

It's not the arm you wiggle. Noise comes from inside the actuator... please read earlier replies.

I noticed this sound on mine as well one month ago. I located my metal light ringing noise to the arm being loose between the two 10mm nuts. see my video below:

Wrong. The noise comes from inside of the actuator, NOT the part you show in your video!

Go to your dealer and request that they run the car on a lift!

But I tighten mine and it’s now quite. So I don’t believe mine is inside the actuator.

Thanks for sharing. In my case

I'm glad that worked. In my case and I'm convinced that this is the case for most the noise comes from the inside. It does sound like it is the arm but at the point where it is mounted. I'm not sure how the actuator looks like on the inside but it is possible that tightening the arm eliminates the noise inside and hopefully tightening it will do the trick for most of us.

Eidt: I do have to point out that every Type R out there has the same exact same play in the actuator arm lever but only some make the noise so there is that...

Hey what did you use to tighten it? I can't seem to find anything that fits....

I have the same issue and it drives me nuts. I'm going to try the arm tightening tomorrow hopefully it helps.
