With rebate they are still more expensive than local shops . And you have to find someone to mount and balance them . Also check manufacture date in case they sell you the old ones .

the deal is mediocre.. dont fall for it.

if you have a costco membership. they are better priced than most tire shops.. just buy the tire and have it mounted somewhere else..
The point is they will ship you a tire on a rim and you mount it

Maybe on wheels, but my local DT will match tire prices during these rebate sales. Got a smoking deal last year.

That being said, if you have a costco membership and they carry the tires you want, its hard to beat them.

If you're lucky enough to have a Discount Tire in your city, it's the same company. I just went and bought tires for my wife's SUV. They matched the Sam's Club price installed, then on top of that I got a $70 rebate (from Pirelli, a mail-in), and then a $100 gift card (no application necessary, will be mailed to me), and then another $50 for applying for the Discount Tire credit card (which I'll only use at Discount Tire, but WTH).

Best deal around. Since I had taken CTR, all employees were admiring it. They know me because I bring my other cool cars to them. Yes, they have that $35,000 machine to change the tires while protecting the rims that the dealers don't even get. Their manager told me they got it for the Corvette and BMW tires that are run-flat and nearly impossible to remove from the rim without the special equipment. As such, he said, it will work on the CTR rims because the machine essentially comes into zero contact with the rim.

The Discount Tire in my city hires real "car guys," and have always taken special care of my rims on my other vehicles. I'll gladly bring my CTR to them, but YMMV.

They just opened a Discount Tire in my town. I'm curious to see how good they are.

Have had my fair experience getting tires change at DT and Costco... all those tools will either strip ur lug nuts, mess up wheel sensors and crack hub caps. Especailly Costco have the excuse to blame previous installer whom over tighten lug but yet i am having hard time taken wheels off for rotation and broke the stud after their installed. :nono: Never will bring my cars to these 2 places. Find other shops that will do it right.

I've had good and bad experiences with DT & Firestone locations. Mostly bad. Like the Firestone guy who admitted he "goosed" my brand new WRX with 50 miles on the odo around the block and said "Man that car moves when the turbo kicks in!". To my face. He didn't have a good day. (was replacing summers to winter tires, just in time for a NC ice storm). On the flip side, a DT scratched the hell out of my rims on my old Audi, and THEY noticed the damage and repaired them without arguing.

Here's the deal - you're going to have to get the work done somewhere, go ask a high performance shop and/or local car enthusiasts what place does good work. Don't accept just one person's answer, go off reviews and word of mouth. Mistakes happen, so you're looking for shops that will take ownership of any mistakes.
