No, car enthusiasts know the Si and the importance of it's history and the present. True there are flashier cars out here, but the SI is a track car out of the box, a driver's car. Not a drag strip burner. The markings and design cues are just enough to set it apart from the other Civic models. Sorry for getting on my hobby horse, but here goes:

Learn about the Si. Know that it has some components of the Type R in it. It can stop in about 130 feet from 60 to 0 with the right tires. Can do .97 on the skidpad with the right tires. Has tech to show you Gs, braking, turbo info, shift points, etc. There are some cars 3 or 4 times the price that cannot match or have this. The Si is just .03 short on the skidpad of the Type R and my Z06 are at 1g. All for about 25 grand! So when I drive my car, I know it is something special, not just a Honda with a spoiler. Look, I own a 600hp Z06, a 465hp STS-V, both good cars. But, I love driving the Si because of the joy of driving around town knowing I can out manuver just about anything for less and save gas. Off my horse now.
I was stopped at a party store by an older gentleman and he ended up owning a Grand national and a Corvette and he knew what the car was and was interested to talk.

Employees of body shops and inspection stations along with co-workers and strangers at gas stations continued to gush over my red sedan until the day I traded it in last week. None of the other two-dozen-plus vehicles I've owned have drawn such attention. I still got lots of looks, but I think it had more to do with being a shiny, bright red car that always looked showroom-new than being a Civic Si.

I get a few looks in the Accord, too, but that's because it's challenging to avoid loud, embarrassing, squealing, one-wheel-peels due to the 2.0T's torque and lack of a limited-slip differential.

I’ve read several posters that act like the LSD is not a big deal but it really is. They should’ve gave the Accord Sport one.

I thought I was a cornering genius when I first got the car before I realized the LSD was "helping"...

Having never driven a car with an LSD before, corners are a completely different animal with an LSD and tight suspension.

Anyone here ever drove a Prelude SH? I know they supposedly used some kinda weird setup that greatly improved cornering.

Had a guy ask a few questions about it while filling up a few weeks ago who was looking to buy one. But mostly the only heads I notice turning are other older gen Si drivers. The car does scream 'aggressive' more so than older gens though. Some quotes I got from family: "What is that, rear wheel drive?", no FWD - "What's that make, like 350hp?", no, just a little over 200. Damn, it's a Civic, not a Maserati.

I thought a Civic Si would help me score chicks, but so far no luck.
Don't give up. I got my wife from my wheels years ago (maybe not totally... but it didn't hurt). I knew it was love when I got a more boring car and she stuck around.

If a girl likes you because of what you drive you've got a problem.

4-wheel steering. Most Japanese manufacturers toyed with it in the 80's and 90's. GM offered it on some full-size trucks and SUVs for 2002-2005. There's been a small resurgence in car applications in recent years.

Yes, I remember this 4-wheel steering in H9nda Prelude many years ago.
It did not work out and when I bought the last generation of Prelude SH (1999), they had already cancelled the feature.

I didn't think the late models used it. But something was different about it. It seems like I was reading a magazine years ago in the late 90's and they mentioned something about it handling more like a rwd than a fwd car. I also think in the same article they called the Prelude SH the Civic Si's big brother.
