Moved my spare into the garage for a few days. When I put it back in I noticed a empty slot on the top of this picture. Is it empty on everyone else’s spare?

If it'll fit the manual moonroof tool, I'm going to see (1) if mine's missing, then (2) whether I can get a replacement.

The 2017 OM shows only four items/tools which are found in the trunk.

Wheel nut wrench, jack handle bar, jack, and fuel funnel.

See page 572 of the OM.

Check if you have lock key for changing tires. I had a nail at the side of the tire close to center. Drove to the Honda dealer. I was told to change the entire tire (hundreds) because they wouldn't patch it. I drove to the local tire shop. They asked $25 to patch it. But the mechanic couldn't find tire lock key in the trunk and anywhere. This is a fairly brand new car about 2000 miles. It is obvious that they didn't give it to me when I bought it. I have never checked trunk for spare tire and kit. I called the dealer. They denied it and asked $52 to buy kit (not just the key for my car) and had to wait for couple weeks to order it. I then called another Honda dealer who showed the sympathy and helped to buy the lock key for $20 and got it immediately for their parts department. So check the tire lock key. It is very important to have it when you need to change or repair tires other than Honda Dealer.

The 2017 OM shows only four items/tools which are found in the trunk.

Wheel nut wrench, jack handle bar, jack, and fuel funnel.

See page 572 of the OM.

Were the wheel locks installed at the factory? I believe that's a dealer installed accessory.

On my old Accord the dealer installed wheel locks before I bought the car new. They are packaged in a bubble pack and sold as an accessory. The dealer gave me the opened bubble pack with the four original wheel nuts inside along with the unlocking tool for removing the wheels.

I am not sure who installed wheel locks. It's my first Honda. I don't remember they gave me any accessory.

I drove to Honda dealer to fix the nail. The first thing they did was to open the trunk and found no wheel lock key. They used theirs. But recommended me to ask the dealer where I bought the car. It ended up buying one from different dealer and patched the tire somewhere else.

I'm guessing the dealer installed those wheel locks as an add-on when they were prepping the new car during the pre-delivery inspection.

A way to get a bit more money from you the customer.

In my case I told them I didn't want them. Since they were already installed they just gave them to me.

But, they also gave me the four original nuts plus the special tool for the wheel locks.

It's criminal to install the locks but not give you the special tool. They all were packaged together likely in a bubble pack.

It sounds like criminal. At the time, I felt Honda blackmailed me because I couldn't fix or change tires anywhere without wheel lock key but Honda dealers. The local tire shop said they should be in the trunk with spare tire.

I paid the car in full. They didn't ask me any extra charge for any add on. No idea what I should have or not.

Same for me with my 2018 LX . I did not have to pay for.
I said to the salesman, remove them I don't want that. He said keep it it is a gift.....
I remove that wheels lock and sell the kit . My car have the cheap steel wheels

Dealer told me that TypeR 2020 is coming without the tools because the car doesn't provide spare wheel. So you don't need that :)
Only tool I found in my brand new TypeR is the fuel funnel, tire pressure pump and tow hook, that's it. Now I have to go buy it.)
