1. We still need ET60 wheels 2. Here's some ET53 at least (edit: and two ET60 options)

It seems we still have VERY few aftermarket options for ET60 wheels. My guess is all the aftermarket wheel manufacturers are just taking measurements of fender clearance and don't quite realize that there is a large group of buyers just waiting for a near ET60 wheel because of suspension geometry preferences (I'd be happy with ET55-60, but nothing less). (https://jalopnik.com/heres-why-the-new-honda-civic-type-r-doesnt-suffer-from-1820372999) (short answer ET60 = no torque steer, ANY other offset will have torque steer, that's just physics, but some claim that the torque steer isn't noticeable with small changes in offset.)

The only two options I've found that are exactly ET60, it seems, besides the OEM FK8 wheels, are the
OEM 19x8.5 ET60 FK2 wheels and custom wheels (see next point)
weight 26 pounds
from tegiwaimports.com
$1642 for a set shipped to USA

UPDATE: You can custom order lightweight forged wheels from CCW
The corsair C10 can be made in ET60 and CCW claims it fits the front brake calipers
8.5X18 through 9.5X18
$892 for 8.5X18 list price, but I'm sure you could negotiate a small discount for a club membership or motorsports use
I didn't check weight, but likely 20 pounds or less

The NSX wheels are 19x8.5 ET55
weight 18.8 pounds
$560 a wheel plus shipping and tax

If you're okay with ET53:
There's also now the OZ Ultra Leggera HLT
19x8.5 ET53
weight 21.95 pounds
$420 a wheel plus shipping and tax tirerack

and Motegi MR924
19x8.5 ET53
weight 22.4 pounds
$254 a wheel plus shipping and tax tirerack

More options provided by the community!

Advan RS-DF progressive
18x9 +53 5x120 about 18 pounds (likely 18.3 ish)

Advan racing GT
18x9 +53 5x120 about 18-19 pounds

Advan TC-4
18x9 +53 5x120

RI-A forged
18x9.0 +50 5x120.0 8.4kg
https://bbs-japan.co.jp/products/1491/

RE-V forged
18Ă—9.0 +53 5x120.0 9.9kg
https://bbs-japan.co.jp/products/560/

WedsSports RN-05M in 18x9.0 +50
https://www.kamispeed.com/WedsSport-RN-05M-18x9-50-5x120-Civic-Type-R-p/wds.72772.htm

TE37 saga
18x9.0 +50

I respect those who don't think having an ET60 offset matters, I'm not trying to convince anyone, but I think there is a market for ET60 none-the-less for us OCD engineering types.

wheel manufacturers produce wheels in an effort to make money. Look up how many other cars use a similar offset in 5x120. A couple bmw use 50, Land Rover has some 60, that is about it. So if a manufacturer produces wheels more specifically for the CTR, how many do you think they have to produce to make it affordable that people may buy? Also if you really really want a 60 offset wheel, then there are companies that will make it happen in single sets, go look up Forgeline for instance, but bet ready to spend big money.

4G TLs, not sure if it's just AWD or not, but they have a 50 offset 5x120 pattern (in fact I think those could be reasonable spare tire options too, will find out soon). I run 20 x 8.5, 38 mm on my SH-AWD 4G TL and the fitment is perfect. Sadly for it, it's getting some CTR wheels once mine gets delivered, and my OZ's from the TL are getting put on the CTR. I understand things like scrub radius will suffer but I'm not that talented of a driver to notice and won't probably put the CTR in a position for that to become a factor. I will, however, look at it every chance I get so there's that :)

PS - nothing wrong with wanting stock dimension, aftermarket, preferably lighter wheels.

HRE and CCW wheels were all the rage on supraforums way back when. Fully custom sets, like JLO mentioned, can be had with about any center design and any offset you want. Custom = $$$$

Or suck it up and keep stock 60..... I'm going with the 255/35/20 route.

It just sucks that they weigh so much.

I’m skeptical that the TL wheels will clear the CTRs Brembos. Keep us posted. Any idea on the TL wheel’s weight?

It's not going to matter at the end of the day even if you run 45+. You may not even notice the torque steer.

As someone mentioned previously, aftermarket wheel manufactures aren't going to produce a wheel that'll only fit one or two cars. Even if they do, don't expect more than one or two options and in very limited runs.

Not even worth it to go custom unless you're in some race series that requires specific size/offset.

Doesn't matter for daily driving purposes. I'm more concerned about the cost to replace 20" summer tires and damaging the wheel from pot holes. Downsizing to 18" would help rectify that.

I think there's money to be made in ET55-60 wheels. As I understand it, some of the flow formed wheel companies can profitably make a custom offset with only a run of 10 sets of wheels.

Kami Speed tried to get these wheels (18x8.5 ET53-60) made with a run of 10 Enkei RPF1s, but Enkei said they couldn't do higher than a 42 offset (I don't know why, it must be something inherent to the 18x8.5 RPF1 because they make 17 inch RPF1s in higher offsets)
https://www.civicx.com/threads/scca-street-class-legal-rims.13152/page-3#post-281145

Despite the RPF1 problem, there should be other wheels (perhaps other enkei models or Rays, Yokohama, SSR, or WedsSport) that can be made in a custom offset for a group buy, there's really no reason why not and there's money on the table for whoever steps up first. This is also a better option for the consumer than getting a completely custom wheel, like from CCW, because those cost $800-1000 per wheel. 18 inch enkeis go for about $286 a wheel and even a custom offset run of 10 wheels shouldn't be more than $350 a wheel. We just need to see what wheel is compatible with a custom offset run.

lol. I gave up on this. just going to get some +35 and get my moneys worth and call it a day. forgelines are like $5k or so. You might try CCW, but i bet these closer to 3-4k? Everyone's running volks. I bet if you wait, you could snatch those up for around 2-2.5k$.

I think I'll finally get my car this month, so I didn't mind waiting :)

I'll probably get the NSX wheels, because they are lightweight and factory (40 pounds saved in rotating mass is huge), but honestly my ideal combo would be 19s with summer tires and 18s with all seasons, so I'd still pick up another set in 18 if there's a reasonably priced custom run.

you need to find 10 people that would be willing to go in, then present it to a manufacturer

That's what I'm starting to realize. I'll get on it!
