Hey all,

Recently have been looking into getting a ktuner v2 and was just curious about the effects the different stages have on fuel economy. I know a lot of it might also be the desire to push the car a little more after the tune but I'd be really interested to hear about your experiences. Thanks!

My MPG is still high 30's to low 40's if I stay off the throttle. I'm running Vits stage 1 Si tune.

I run Hondata but the principal is the same as Ktuner. Take it easy on the throttle and MPGs won't be far off from stock. Gun it and MPGs plummet but its worth it for the smiles you get per gallon.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what happens if you run regular fuel with these tuners?

Ktuner tunes are designed to run best on 91 or above. I guess you could run 87 but I wouldn't recommend it at all. I imagine knock control would run high all the time.

On their website if you check it out, Ktuner says the stages can be ran with 87 but obviously 91 is going to give the best results. Funny you bring that up since right now in Toronto gas prices are ridiculous even for 87 with $1.35/L.

I put on the fx350 clutch, PRL catted DP and vit stage 1(Ktuner) and I get better mileage than I did stock because of how easy I’m driving it now(clutch break in). So even with a downpipe and stage 1 tune you can get 35-40 mpg. It’s all about how you drive.
