Good for those still seeking a fix. Personally, mine were more erratic shortly after purchase (December) but it seems to have "learned" and straightened itself out - rained here today and they've been working perfectly.

Where is the rain sensor on the windshield anyway, is it under that big box for the lane keeping assist sensor?

It is in the top center windshield. It is a small box with a silicone gasket. It must look even with no bubbles and the seal must bee flat and evern all around.

Thanks, I should have taken a look first, but I wasn't anywhere near my car at the time. But how would you go about accessing the back of that rain sensor to make sure it's fully snapped in place? It's inside of that black box behind the rear view mirror.

I posted this elsewhere in the forum in hopes that it will benefit those with touring wipers.....

I finally brought my '16 Touring to the dealer to address the auto wiper issue that has plagued many of you here. After waiting three hours, I was brought to the mechanic where he proceeded to show me how to operate the wipers. Frustrated, I told him I knew how they worked, but they have never worked properly for more than a few minutes in the rain. He offered to disconnect the sensor so they would function as intermittent. Surprisingly, they work perfectly, but now my auto headlights do not work.

Brought it back to the dealer yesterday and they told me the wiper sensor and headlight sensor were the same unit. No way I believe this. I told them I would take the lesser of two evils and have them reconnect the sensor to have the auto headlights and live with the nonfunctioning auto wipers. They did this and the lights are back to auto. The wipers seem to be working as they had when they were disconnected. In other words, the wipers work like traditional variable intermittent.

Any thoughts about those two functions working off the same sensor?

BTW... both times they tried to charge me $60 to have the wiper sensor disconnected and then reconnected even though the car is still under original warranty. I refused and they waived the charge each time.

I thank my lucky stars that I went with a "lower" trim, and don't have any of these issues. Also got an intermittent setting which I often use.

The Link in the original post isn't working for me. But three days ago I just have my rain sensor replaced by Honda. Let's see how it goes in the next rain.

So far so good. I can't compare it to the quality of my Lexus, but otherwise it is no longer erratic and it works well after adjusting the sensitivity depending on the rain or snow. I can set it and forget it. Even my gf noticed the difference and commented this past sat during rain that it isn't crazy anymore And I never mentioned I got.it fixed. Replacing the rain sensor fixed it for me.

I have had this issue since new. Dealer reset computer and waiting for it to rain? There is also a Honda service news article A16060B. Google it and it should come up. I also found it on the NTSB manufacturer communications for wiper problems.
