Just bought the springs, is it mandatory to mod the bump stop?

How many people are rubbing and have to roll the front wheel well. Seems like a bad design fault from Honda

I meat for your Civic si! Are they Advan RZ?

Sorry......I assumed you meant on my GT since the Civic Si doesn't have Advan wheels. They look a bit like Advan wheels but are actually Bavar Racing wheels.

Great looking car man, going to have to keep an eye out to see if I get to see it in person roaming around on PDX streets. :)

As per Eibach's instructions, I modded all 4 bumpstops.

From my research across all 10th gen Civics, most hatch owners do not report rubbing of the front fender liner/tabs. I've only seen it mentioned with sedans/Si's (although very few people report it).

It'll all come down to alignment and wheel/tire set up.

I wouldn't say this is a design fault at all... We are modifying a car beyond what it was designed for.

Thank you... I don't think I've seen many modded Si's (or any 10th gens for that matter), in the PDX area.

After doing lots of my own research to figure out which spring I was going to choose.....looks like Eibach has just released a set specific to the Civic Si Coupe (or Sedan). There is a difference between Si and non-Si coupes.

Civic Si Coupe or Sedan:
  • Front and Rear
  • Ride Height: Moderate Lowering
  • Manufacturer Part #: E10-40-036-02-22
  • Note: Avg. low 0.9"F & 1.1"R

Non-Si Coupe, Sedan or Hatchback:
  • Front and Rear
  • Ride Height: Moderate Lowering
  • Manufacturer Part #: E10-40-036-01-22
  • Note: Avg. low 1.4"F & 1.2"R
NOTE: This information is from Tire Rack where I have placed an order for the Eibach Pro kit.
now this has been out for a while, can you say if it makes the car handle any better? or is it mainly aesthetics?

I installed the springs last weekend, I can say the ride in normal mode is better while sport mode is about the same.

The progressive rear spring is soft when it needs to be and stiffens up when you push it.

There is a metal clanging noise from the rear when I hit speed bumps once in a while at an angle though. I can't chase it down for sure but I think the soft coils may be spaced too close to each other, and bang when I load up one side too quickly. I rechecked my work, but the rear is literally one bolt and nut each side to swap out the spring.

2017 Si with the Eibach Pro-Kit, Garage Line 20mm front and 25mm rear spacers. I rub in the front, splash shield area where the marker light is on the bumper. There is a small overlap into the fender that it rubs on if I hit a bump just right.

*stealth edit- I did not mod my bumpstops as per instructions.
