Anyone tried the Enkei Kojin 18x9.5 +45 on the FK8?

http://www.unitedspeedracing.com/index.php?id_product=102&controller=product

I'm not sure if the +45 offset is really true because on the ENKEI website I can only find the +35 offset with bolt pattern 5x120?!

For me it's only an option if this rim is available with +45 offset...

Came across the link below. although it's not a R, but you get the idea. I've been preaching to get closer to stock offset wheels, but there just isn't much out there that i want. Looks like i'll have to sacrifice or get my moneys worth if it's an offset that's more aggressive. And to top it off, I need new wheels soon before I end up jacking mine up, so the pressure's on.

Personally, I run 275/35 on 18 x 9.5 w/45 offset (VMR 701's) with no rubbing...you "should" be able to run 265's with a 35 offset..but every tire fitment is slightly different, what works for me may not work for you. I am lowered on Eibach's Prokit as well.

In as far as the xx/40 clearance..once again you "should" be able to run that tire height with no problem, but I would not if the car is lowered at all.

Amending my statement...I see you have a EX Hatchback..my advice is/was specific to my limited CTR experience..Your Mileage May Vary..

why not just stick to the 255/35/18 which have been proven to work on a 9.5 +35 offset. 265/35/18 has worked without rubbing if you are on stock suspension.

I personally would not run a 265/40/18.

Another customer of ours posted pics and specs on Facebook

SSR GTX01 19x9.5 +38 5-120 in Blue Gunmetal
255/35/19 Federal RSRR
Fortune Auto 500 Coilovers

He wanted to ensure proper clearance especially at his drop so he did some fender modification

today was great weather and had finally installed my @Mishimoto intake so wanted to have an excuse to drive...plus had to do dinner. put on about 50 miles for the first time with the new nsx wheels and 245/35/19 potenza re-71r tires.

wow...just wow! dammit i love the wheels and tires! still new so a little squirmy but on the way home i took a cloverleaf at about 75 mph. sticky...love it. i do not need 265 or 275 width tires on the streets to smile big smiles.

now with stickier tires the car will pitch a little bit more - meaning your feet stick more while you go around the corner yet your body continues to have momentum toward the outside of the turn ala pitches. it's basic physics. this why for you guys throwing on wider and/or stickier tires and getting more lateral grip in the corners - you WILL notice the car roll a bit more. therefore, tighter suspensions ala stiffer sway bar(s) is required to counter the stickier or more lateral grip tires. if you don't believe me, ask the pro autoxers and trackers. everything works in unison...make a change in one thing and will impact another until you counter it. simple physics...

btw there is ZERO change to the stock zero torque steer front end design...that was my goal all along and why the wheels at 19x8.5 +55mm et work!

Curious to see what it'll look like when you lower it, if you're planning on lowering it that is.
