Very Nice. Anyone know if a 245/40/20 tire on the OEM rim will fit with no issues? Thanks

Got the winter set up on last night.

Wheel: Motegi MR133 18x9.5 +45
Tire: 245/45-18 hankook snow something or other

The tires were free so I put them to use. Not ideal for the rim but will work for the winter.... Plan is to put 265 or 275 summer tire on in the spring. I love the fit of the wheels...very flush with the fender and for the price they are a great option.
Hey @Jrose29 did you put on your summer tires yet? If so mind sharing what size you went with for these rims? I just ordered them last night and am debating going with 265/35/18 or 255/40/18... Debate is more meat for Michigan roads or less side wall on the PS4S to keep some numbness down. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Sticking with the PS4S over the RE71 or other more sticky tires due to Michigan spring / fall weather... Winter tires will be swapped on during winter.

Anyone running the new Firestone Firehawk? I’m nervous about the brand but I’ve heard only good things.

Having just come back from a weekend at Gingerman, I'll say that you want as much sidewall as freakin' possible! I hit one monster of a pothole, and lost count of regular ones. I was on 245/40x18 Pilot Sport AS/3's so I wasn't worried, but I have these tires just for pothole season - I will switch to 20" in a month. At Gingerman, Johnny was running 265/35x18 (IIRC) Conti ExtremeContact Sports. Verry impressive (both Johnny and the tire). https://www.civicx.com/threads/scca-spring-training-time-trials.23453/

Bridgestone owns Firestone. If you, say, Google "Bridgestone Potenza Adrenaline R003" and compare it to the Firehawk Indy 500, then you might see a lot of similarities. I'm not saying that they're the same tire - sizing varies, for example - but they are both made in Japan, and must've been separated at birth ... ;)

This car is lowered right? Will these wheels fit a stock CTR without rubbing?

This setup looks crazy good, but it looks like it took some work to pull off.

Lowered on Swift I believe, and it'll work with less aggressive tires

it's lowered on prototype swift springs and prototype raceline camber plates iirc which has a different drop compared to the production ones.

Why so low? Why? :slap:
he ran a 1:58 at button willow which is pretty dam fast so it works for him.

These are definitely the wheels I want then. 255/35 18 square should work fine then?
