Im lucky in that i dont have a woman deciding anything for me. Been there, done that.Wife probably wouldn't let me get it. She ok’d the hatch because of the 4 doors, for when we have kids.
Same here. If Honda told me because the coupe was stiffer and lighter and would've made it the best candidate for a Type R, then yes. That's after I get past the fact that I can't afford it. But really though, I like the practicality of the 4 doors and the hatch. I didn't like having to recline the seats to get passengers out, or how far the doors swung open when I had a 2-door.I suppose it would depend on how large of a performance impact there is. How much lighter or better controlled would the coupe be to the hatchback, or vice versa.
The Honda Civic Type R has never been a coupe? You want a new Integra Type R. Remember, just because you never had it in the US it doesn't mean it doesn't exist...IF a TypeR is to be thought of as a "sports car" or even "track car" it should be available in a coupe, as most of these types of cars are coupes.
2 of those are still 2 door hatch. Just because it hasn't happened since doesn't mean I cant dream or that it never was. They could even do it as a hatchback, similar to the style of the 90's mustang. Then it would still be a hatchback, but 2 doors as before. The Honda Civic Type R has never been a coupe? Not now. Back when I owned my few Integra Type Rs, probably. As a father of two boys, it made it easier to justify the purchase as we could all enjoy it together. At least that's what I told myself to justify it, although it just sits underneath the dust cover in the garage other than a couple of times since I purchased itJust curious. Im 37, and still prefer the look of coupes over HBs and sedans.
A ctr coupe would be pretty sweet.
