I guess I'll be the guinea pig on these. I went ahead and bought a set of 4 from Amazon for only $250. Crazy price for a quality UHP tire.

I see them on Amazon, com at $250 each and more .....

Again, I'm not an expert in reviewing tires specifically but here's my opinion.

I feel like these tires are grippier and stickier than stock for sure, like advertised. Yesterday I got to drive them around town , on dry pavement, on the highway, through the rain, and on wet pavement . Definitely felt more confident all around with these tires than I ever did with the Firestones .

Road noise is definitely improved to me. I managed to measure a 2dB reduction in road noise at 50mph on the same road I tested my Firestones on using an app on my phone to get the measurements. Ride quality is great, I feel like I get more feedback from the steering wheel when I'm driving but I'm not sure if that's placebo or a fact.

I took a couple of turns a little faster than usual and the tires didn't lose composure, no squealing or sliding. Acceleration is improved a smidge thanks to the added grip and less wheelspin compared to stock .

So far im definitely liking the tires . Longevity is important to me and they are supposed to be rated for 50,000 miles . We will see if that's the case .

Hope this helps!

Glad you like. Nice review. Looking forward to switching out my Firestones to these.

One last thing. See how your MPG's are if you can. Thanks.

Yeah for sure will report after a month or a couple weeks if I see a difference . I did notice that they are marked on the sidewall as low rolling resistance tires

I'm glad I took a chance and bought these tires at such a great price. I only have 5,000 miles on the Firestones so it might be a bit before I swap them out. In the meantime, I'm always looking online to see if I can find reviews from users of the Nokians. Found a guy on a Volvo forum that gave them high praise. He runs the Nokians most of the year but runs Michelin Pilot Super Sports in the summer. The Michelins are a Max performance summer tire and are considered one of the best pure performance tires on the market. Here's what the guy said comparing the Nokian Zline A/S to the Michelin Pilot Super Sports ...

When I want to drive really hard, I use the Michelins. For every day and anything not extreme, my Nokian ZLine AS are a far better tire. More comfortable, quieter, low rolling resistance yet still very sharp handling and communicative. Maybe lose 10% of the ultimate grip the Michelins have but thats the exception not the rule.
Not bad for a tire that costs way less than 1/2 the price of the Michelins.

Update: Walmart online has these in 215/50/17 for only $66 each with free shipping.

Since Nokians are mostly sold in Europe many people don't realize they make excellent tires. They aren't some off-brand crap. Consumer Reports did tire testing that included Nokian. As you can see they rank pretty highly:

These tire brand may have some not so good tire or crap tire .

How Nokian can built a good tire at half price of well know good tires ?

I'm not an expert on tires, but I made sure I did some due research. Their A/S Line up is still pretty much new compared to different companies since they're mainly know for their winter tires, so i went ahead and decided to pull the trigger, bought a full set; and these do not disappoint at all!

Located here in Northern California, I got them installed two days ago, and the difference between these and the hankook tires on my stock wheels are night and day. I've driven it in both city and freeway, going about different turns during the weekend; turns are much more precise and grippy as advertised. in terms of the mileage, I have still yet to test these out, but in worse case scenario, I'm thinking it would be a 1-2 MPG difference from my stock 16's.

Road noise is less, if not the same in comparison with the stock tires on my 16's, which tells a lot, because I changed both my wheels and tires to 18's, and there is usually an increase every time you bump up the overall size of your tire. measuring it driving both city and highway, there is about a 1-2 decibel difference, but then again, It'll depend on the road conditions the you are driving through. (for reference; the firestone, pirelli & Bfgoodrich Zeon tires that I got before on my other cars were way more noisy compared to these)

most people are saying that these will compete well compare the the Continental DWS06's; but there hasn't really been any reviews on it yet.

As for overall durability and mileage; that is still to be tested. even though these are rated for 50,000 miles; I'll be happy with these going as far as around 30,000-40,000. Now take note; if you're thinking of getting this for track, it's not meant for that. make sure that you do your research and buy the tires suitable for your driving habits. for me, this is a sweet spot between using it as a commuter and having a little fun once in a while.

Overall, for the price and value, these are a no-brainer. More people are going to discover this and will probably bump up in price, so get them while you can.

I'm thinking they're still testing the waters here in U.S market; more people will discover these quality tires and probably increase the price gradually.
