Nice upgrade!!
Um, Honda is the one who sets the pricing... if dealers are marking it up beyond that, it's usually only by 5-10%. Don't get angry at your dealer simply for retailing a product.WOW WHAT A RIP OFF! Stealers are so wack.
I think he is asking how you are going to get the heating elements in your CTR seats (to connect to the climate control module). CTR seats do not have heating elements and, as I understand it, heating Alcantara seats is not necessarily a good idea. I believe that's why that poster was asking if you are going to swap out the seats (which, of course, makes no sense to me, but I can't deny the merits of the toasty buns)....no, the climate control console
Ah, as I re-read that, that makes sense. Allow me to elaborate.I think he is asking how you are going to get the heating elements in your CTR seats (to connect to the climate control module). Maybe use factory harnesses from the Canadian model? If you ever accomplish that, let me know . . . . would love to do the same!Ah, as I re-read that, that makes sense. Allow me to elaborate.
Type R seats + aftermarket heating elements. Heating alcantara is fine, assuming that's what it is ("Suede-Effect Fabric" as Honda calls it).
Mirror swap for heated mirrors (unless I figure out a better way to do it).
Climate control swap.
Witchcraft, used to get the climate head/control unit to recognize that the car has heated seats/mirrors.
Some of us drive in winter for 6 months of the year. Need defrost always, Auto shoots the heat out the front vents, not windowSo i'm curious...i've never understood why this is a thing to so many. I've never independently changed my fan speed in this car or my last (370Z). I leave the system on auto and it will adjust fan speed/vent location accordingly depending on the temperature difference between what i have set and what the current inside temp is. If its 90F out and i have it set for like 72 it will be blasting the fans from the front vents then taper down as it gets closer to the desired temp i set. Same thing if its cold out and i have it set to 72....puts the air to the floor and blows the fans/heat accordingly until it gets closer to the set temp. If for some reason it's not blasting the fans at 100% trying to cool down or something then i just lower the temp and the fans kick up to full speed....all with one knob. The only thing i change manually is the recycle or outside air if i'm driving by something smelly (smoker, diesel truck, etc.) Why do you guys like to set all this manually? I look at it like a house thermostat... you set your temp and it takes care of the rest...fans, compressor on/of, etc. I'm just curious to why a lot seem to prefer manual a/c controls...maybe a generation thing where that's what you grew up with?
