How much did you pay for your Type R?

I called two dealers today. Both had a 2018 Type R PMM (what I am looking for). One asked 8K over sticker, the asked 5K.
Id things dont cool off by end of summer - BMW M2 it is for me

^ My experience has been that dealers talk a big game on the phone with 10k markups, but if you let the car sit on the lot a couple days and then show up at the end of the month, they are likely willing to sell it to you at or close to MSRP.

Pretty much this, my experience exactly with the CTR (and previous vehicles).

I paid a mark-up. But, I was okay with that, and budgeted for it. Also, they shipped it down from northern Wisconsin, so I could get the color that I wanted; and be the only one in town. So, they didn't directly pocket it all.

Paid MSRP at a dealer 30 minutes from the house. CW CTR was inbound and unspoken for. Waited 2 weeks. What a car! Have not seen another one on the road yet.

Wow, long time. I sold that supercharged Tundra and bought a 2016 Prius (yeah, talking about extreme). Gave it to my mom and was going to get the Type R...with all this crazy prices going on, so I got a '17 Prius Prime instead... Will get the Type R in a couple years when everyone and their mothers got theirs

Looks like you got yours already. Congrats! Give me a ride sometimes

So it is you. lol Thought Houston was small but dang I found you on this forum. I am more extreme than you.. Sold the Tundra then got the Chevrolet 3500HD dually. Not that I need it, but yea back down to the civic class - R. I've removed my intake and waiting for my Mishimoto intake to come in. Once I catch up on things, I will hit you up and kick it.

But yea, they still doing the mark ups right now. Gillman southwest wanted 10k over. Ridiculous!
I got mine from Honda of Spring off 45 for MSRP back in Oct 17. Red color though but I love it. Too many people wanted the white, so I prefer to be different. I'm barely 1096 miles.

call back the 5l one and say msrp and the car is out the door, do they take deposit over the phone. I am being sarcastic, but you never know.

Paid $3000 ADM on my 18 CW CTR. First time paying mark up on a car. I set my ADM limit to $3500 max. Dealer wanted $7000 over msrp plus $2600 in accessories.

Paid 34,995 for mine. No markup No accessories.

38k OTD

Visited the dealer and they told me I was crazy if I thought they would sell it for anything less that MSRP +$5k. I walked. Sure enough I got a call from them 12 hours later to come back and they were willing to go down to MSRP +$4k. I could have continued to play games, but it was exhausting and I just gave in. lol.

For those seven people who claimed to have paid under MSRP, where did you buy your CTRs? After contacting over 30 dealers, none of them was willing to do anything below MSRP. The majority of them insisted on ADM.

I paid MSRP + 1K ADM which was fair to me. 4 separate people came into the dealership to buy the car, 2 even stayed the full 6 hours hoping the deal would fall through.

No dealer Accessories though, which apparently ALL dealers around me do (the 4-5 I called). Which is why i pulled the trigger, and it was the color I wanted.
