It's Florida, when is the temperature not high?

Also it would help if he had a baseline graph, but I think he forgot :dunno: Different dyno than most we've seen so far (not a Dynapac)
I thought he was from Canada and then noticed that it was another poster that had the OP's quote in his post.

Is it possible to custom tune for the voltage on the MAF sensor to not throw a CEL with the Mishi intake on the stage 1 tune or will have to wait for a modified MAF housing option? I’m not going to install my intake if it’s going to throw a code.
Email me.

I think you essentially need to 'stage down' your tune a little bit. Stage .75?

To everyone worried about the CEL with Mishi intake...it was me who got it. It only showed under WOT in R mode on the multi tune map. Comfort and Sport no issues, only R (which is the stage 1) so you will not havy any issues as in the stage 0 or even stage 1 if you are not under WOT as far as I could tell from my testing. I will be working with KTuner to try and get this resolved so no one else has the issue, but unfortunately a deer ran into my R the other night so I am going to be without it from now until at least late next week. Sorry to scare everyone!

I'm running the multi-stage tune now and will be installing the intake tonight so i'll test it out and report back as well.

Are you worried about bending rods?

Supposedly 3 people in the facebook group have already bent rods at roughly 400wtq.

Amazing that the stock clutch can handle 400wtq, but the stock rods can't. It's sad and hilarious at the same time.

I've seen some of the posts on the facebook group. Does anyone know why the people that supposedly bent their rods are being so secretive about it? I doubt any of them are trying to make a warranty claim with a straight face... Why not let the rest of us know what was going on when it happened?

That's exactly how I feel, and nope to my knowledge no one has come forward.

The whole thing is really strange. It's not like we need names. Just what mods, what tune, and the scenario in which it broke.

I don't understand all the secrecy. None of the info we're asking for would identify anyone.

4P came forward and said they bent rods

To be honest, there's no reason to worry about that though.

From what I understand he had a custom hot tune in the car as part of his testing and getting ready to build the motor anyway.

If you're at that level of tune and modification, you should understand the risks you're taking.

Who knows how far he was turned up, probably to 11 at least.

Also, he's on Motec, so that's not an issue for people running out of the box KTuner/Hondata tunes

We absolutely don't know that "it's not an issue." At this point we don't have enough data.

We know that 400wtq is the power level that bent the rods. Stage 1 ktuner can get pretty damn close to those levels. But it's not just the power level, but also where the torque is made.

We may have a string of people bending rods or spinning bearings soon on the stage 1 ktuner. There just hasn't been enough testing yet to know that it's not a problem.

Well i hope it doesn’t happen to me, i still gotta go back to the tuner to fix up the power band a bit more, im not planning on making 400wtq ill be happy with 380 or so!
