I agree with all of this , it’s been tested by multiple people. I haven’t heard 1 word of any ctr’s Failing. But I’m all ears
yeah, if anything happened...it was probably user error :D

I had an EP3 and had a great tune on my turbo...got greedy and messed with the tune for more power...boom, twisted and toss a rod out the bottom end...definitely not doing that again.

The rods and crank on the CTR are forged from the factory. That must have been one crazy tune and HIGHLY doubt that was one of Hondata's Tunes/Maps that caused this...

My guess is there wasn't enough fuel to compensate and they ran too lean. Which would make sense. The stock fuel pumps run out of fuel easily on more aggressive tunes.

Can you give a link to this forum with the claims of bent rods?
I’ve personally heard of one Type R with bent/broken rods due to a tune, it was on a full stand-alone with custom tuning...
It was posted on a Facebook owners forum. Honestly I’m taking it with a grain of salt. The person who posted it was acting like it was top secret and pretty much refused to give any evidence to back his claim that a tune caused engine damage.

Shipped my ECU out March 30th. Won't arrive til April 10th I just want to drive my car. Can't even wash it in the mean time just to spend time with it. Thought everyone said a 2 day return wait. Lol. Damn

Did you schedule the unlocking before sending it in?

The moment right after having it packaged to be shipped, I called telling them and told them the arrival date for scheduling. Can't remember honestly if she said how soon they can start the unlocking. But I assumed it only took 2 days after they worked on it. My fault for not knowing when they started unlocking it. Was hoping to drive my car tomorrow or Saturday at least. Oh well I guess

Yeah for a 2 day turn around you have to get a scheduled day and then send the ecu in to arrive that day. Maybe super busy now, glad i got in the week they announced early unlocking. It'll be worth the wait though!

Yea can't just tell them it is on the way and expect to be done promptly. There are others who ordered and then contacted them on making an appointment for it to be completed and when it was appointment time sent it in.

I knew that before making my comment. Lol. The appointment was made after I shipped it out. Had to get my arrival date to Hondata in order to make my appointment. Only mistake I made, was not knowing which day she told me they would work on unlocking my ECU.
