is there a CAI on the market that doesn’t require removing the front bumper?

I’m looking at AEM, Injen, HPS and PRL.

I did mine without removing the bumper. It said it would be easier that way but I did mine all from the top and bottom. Pull the big metal skid plate out of the middle and then the black plastic piece in front of the wheel can peel back just enough to get the filter on. It would've been way easier pullin the bumper but I didn't do it lol.

Pulling the front fascia is really easy actually. Just make sure you buy some bumper clips. Most of the push pin style ones broke when I pulled them. They are like $6 for 100 on Amazon.

There's one package that comes with a handy dandy tool specifically designed for removing those clips that I'd highly recommend. Comes with 40 clips.

Ya, I've got all the trim and clip removal tools, they all still broke. Don't take what I'm saying negatively. I don't mind that they broke, just be aware that you'll need new ones.

I had to take the bumper off to install my Injen CAI, but that's only so I could remove the stock air filter resonator. Had to detach the hose from the inter-cooler to get that thing out. Was such a PITA. Otherwise, I can get to the filter from the wheel-well.

Our 27WON intake requires no removal of the bumper or anything in the fender well. Once installed you can service the whole thing from the top.

Mishimoto's performance intake is advertised as a cold air and short ram intake. I have one, and I'm pretty happy with it. I think if you want a true cold air intake though, you'd have to get one that requires removing the bumper to install.

Thanks Vincent I’m interested but real talk your intake looks a bit akward... colour scheme wise... it needs black hose clamps... and the orange part... can you guys do that it black also?

It would have a much cleaner oem look

You could even get the whole resonator box off without even getting under the car really. You just have to have a 10mm open end and be good at turning a bolt in the blind... That and long fingers might help. I recorded myself doing it just have to edit the video and on vacation now so who knows when that will happen

I had got it disconnected and ready to pull. The prob was that space was so tight I couldnt I didnt have any room to pull the box out. Spent about 30-40 minutes trying to get it out...nothing. thats when I had to disconnect the hose from the inter-cooler to remove it. The whole install took over an hour to do, most of it cuz of that damn box. Everything else was easy.
