I did a quick Google search and saw a couple clubs on the Olympic Penninsula as well as one up in Monroe, and I think if memory serves one or two down in the Puyallup area.

Does anyone have any experience with these organizations, any recommendations as which one I should head to first as a complete autox n00b?

You looking for Auto-x specifically or would you be up for an open track day?

I would love to get on the track, but felt that autox would be a good first step. The appeal of autox is speeds don't seem to exceed 60mph and overall the consensus seems to be that risk and wear to the car seem to be lower for autox. As a complete beginner to racing I would definitely feel more comfortable starting with autox.

That and the cost seems to be lower entry to for autox. Seems like I would have to at minimum be forced to replace my stock brake pads after only a couple laps on a track.

I believe Evergreen Speedway organizes there own Autox events so you could check them out. As well look for Oregon Region SCCA as they go pretty far up North sometimes as well.
