The Type R is set to arrive next week! I ordered up the gorilla lock lugs + ball adapters. The clear bra arrived today in the mail, plus hard wiring for the radar detector, and screen protector for the LCD. Also ordered all the goodies to prep and put on the CQuartz ceramic coating day of arrival. Getting excited :) I'm hoping the Mishimoto intakes begin shipping this week. Anyone have other recommendations to prep the vehicle after delivery (example interior protections etc)? Thanks!

Xpel PPF...priceless!
I'm doing the 3m scotchgard Pro paint protection. It's what I currently have on my Exige and it works excellent! Plus for $280 shipped for the front end that's extremely reasonable :) Plus installation on these kits are overblown... They are very easy to do yourself (with a friend) as long as you have patience ha!

Installed the JDM yellow fogs & used the CR Spotless water filter system for the first time. I didn't rinse & leave it, like they say to do, but it is pretty awesome. Zero water spots & I dare say it was easier to dry. Kind of pricey, but I'll be happy to have it with the CBP finish. Sorry for the crap pic.
That's awesome and pricey! I have a question, with something like that is there any maintenance that needs to be done? Like replacing water filters, etc?
I have the DI 120 as well. For those looking, check Ebay. I think I only paid like $110 for it or something like that. It was cheap that way.

As for keeping it maintained...there's a display on the unit that shows TDS. As that number increases, it's time to change out resin. I'm still on my factory resin fill, but apparently they have a 'Resin Membership' or something like that where you pay $50/year and just send your dirty resin back to them...they'll send you clean resin in exchange. Apparently it's an unlimited annual exchange program. Seems pretty good if you have nasty water.
For me, it's looking like a better deal to just change the resin once a year or so. I am still sitting at 0TDS and I've used it to rinse a car about 10 times so far since I got it. Pretty sure I got it all connected back in November? Maybe December?

Anyway yeah if you drive the car in some rain or snow and just rinse it off with the filtered water, you can put it away wet and it's pretty good to go. Proper wash with DI120 rinse and a spirited drive combined with a battery leaf blower really do make the car spotless. Mine is black so it shows.

Thanks for the heads up! Just looked on eBay and didn't see any. I'll keep my eyes opened to see if I find one.

I got around to installing my rpf1’s , they look great. They are very light , roughly 10 pounds per corner. Unfortunately I can’t drive it , until my ecu gets back from hondata. But overall they are great. Topped it all off with OEM Honda center caps..

How long did it take to get your ecu back?
Funny you should ask, I actually had to resend my ECU back to Hondata today, apparently they skipped a step in the unlocking process and I was unable to upload the new tunes.

Typically the turn around is very quick but this depends on shipping and reservation availability, I went with three day because the flashpro had yet to launch. If you do overnight both ways you shouldn’t be down more than 4 days, they are relatively fast once they receive the ECU.
