I have been hearing a noticeable clicking noise coming from the engine at least at idle even when I'm inside the car and the hood is not open. I can't hear it or notice it at highway speeds or when accelerating or at least not at the moment. I think its weird due to still having under 4,000 miles when my previous car didn't had any engine noise until very late after passing 80,000 miles. I haven't noticed any loss in power or acceleration, the fuel I have always used is Shell either 89 or 91 when regular is not available.

Is this something normal for the 2.0 engine?

If it sounds like an old sewing machine, it is likely normal noise from the high pressure oil pump on the direct inject motors

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the 2.0 engine is not a DI engine but a Multi-Point fuel injection
