I almost never get a tax refund, and usually owe a little bit.

Why would I want to let the government use my money for a year if I can keep it myself?
I'm the opposite. I'm always arguing with my wife about this topic. We have 2 kids and us but on my payroll deductions I have 0 dependents. I like the fact of them taking it away from my check and having a lump sum returned to me at the end of the year instead of seeing a little more in my checks every 2 weeks.

Daycare for my two kids. The cost of daycare is seriously like another mortgage payment.
I did the cost once for a good full time nanny. It's the same as my take home. WTF. I might as well work part time.

I hate giving the government an interest free loan, but even though I pick several more exemptions past the number I'm supposed to pick, I always waaay overpay in tax. I guess I should be thankful. It could go the other way...

Not to start a debate on politics, but it all depends on your situation. I’m a homeowner, kids, enegery efficient upgrades around the house, a few pretax benefits, plus we just got solar panels. What I got in my refund this year was ridiculous lol.

Not pocketing anything though. All going to daycare. I would have liked to have gotten new wheels, tires, and lowering springs. Does that count?

Married with 2 kids and I claim 0 and have them withhold at the higher single rate PLUS take out 20 bucks extra a week. I love tax time. I would probably just blow that 20 bucks a week on fast food or something anyways so why not get a ton back at the end?

I had some money saved and got a PRL intake and ktuner v1. Quickly learned I need a clutch upgrade, even at stock boost. I want to keep the car though. I'm a true Honda fan and the direction the Accord went isn't for me, and after seeing a set of tires for the Type R is $1,200, I gained a lot of respect for my Si

A mix bag of mods here. Pinstripes, interior led lights (map, dome, trunk), smoked side markers, KtunerV2, strut bar.

None, We always adjust our with holdings so we owe money, but not enough for a penalty. I prefer to not loan the government money all year only to get it back at the end without any interest.

If we got some back, probably just do some home renovations, go on a nicer vacation or pay off some debt instead.
