Is anyone interested in a basically brand new AfE exhaust for 1200 shipped?

I have a lot of drone too. Didn't think it would be this bad honestly.
I've got drone as well, but I didn't think it was too terrible. I can still talk to my wife at a normal level without issue. It doesn't bother me too much

Really? From 2800-3400rpm I'm not sure I could have a conversation with my wife. It's so boomy and loud that it overpowers everything else.

I can't even hear the exhaust in that rpm range. Just cabin drone.

Maybe recheck installation lol. Make sure everything is sealed properly.

United Speed Racing did the install. They know what they're doing.

Regardless, they let me feel the connections as the car was running up on the lift. No leaks. Unfortunately it's just a super drone-y exhaust.

I Sent an email to AFE client service.
Here the last email about the drone issue.

Me:

If i want to reduce the drone in cabin without compromising the sound, what do you recommend 3.5 x 18? (Im talking about the resonator)

Cedric

AFE:

We have a couple of these exhaust out and seems like no one has reported a drone since it already has a resonator and two mufflers.

Best regards,

Damian Rivera

I think they just don't care....

Not really.

I have been keeping a tally. It’s actually more like 75% of people with afe exhaust saying they have signifanct drone.

I have seen a total of 8 people with the afe exhaust on the forums, instagram, and Facebook page.

5 of the 8. (Not including me) have said that the drone is more than they’d anticipated.

But not bad enough to sell it right? They said it was a little more drone then like you said anticipated but not too much that it's a problem

"too much drone" is open for debate. Where some people might be able to live with it, it is way too much for others.

I mean I do feel like I should say that I know that *some* drone is inherent with aftermarket high flow exhausts. All of my previous cars have had some drone, but it was only in certain rpm ranges and it was never enough to keep me from hearing the passenger - or enough to literally vibrate the whole car.

The AfE is both. Loud enough that I can't hear my music or the passenger (from 2900-3800 rpm), and also vibrates the car. If I have my key fob sitting in a cup holder, the car vibrates so badly that the whole key fob is dancing and rattling around in the cupholder. Almost like it's sitting on a subwoofer.

Some people can obviously tolerate it, but I surely can't. I'm just hoping I can sell it at this point. I've already come to grips that I'm going to lose at least 500 bucks. I'm just hoping I can sell it at all so I don't lose all 1575 dollars.
