I was thinking a slightly larger turbo would probably put less stress on the engine as there will not be so much low end torque.

Either way, I am just looking to get the most I can with the stock engine. I am not tearing the car apart with only 800 miles on it.

Yeah... 300hp is the car making 200hp/liter. Not to mention 300hp in a 2900 lb street car is pretty nuts IMO.

You can always chase more power... but that seemed like a *lot* to me. Consider dropping <1k for the turbo... Pairing a tuning device and ethanol flex fuel kit... the paying for a tune... we're getting near 300 hp (yeah... I'm sure we'll need to drop 1-1.5k for a clutch in there somewhere too.).

I saw the drop in TD025 upgrade as my final step, with going flex fuel between where I'm at now and enjoying that for awhile and that last step. My comfort level ends at 200hp/liter.
I already have the RV6 Catless DP, Clutch FX350, aFe catback exhaust for SI on it's way, RV6 Front pipe soon, Injen CAI, Ktuner V2, and waiting for Greddy's upgrade turbo kit with intercooler and oil cooler. Then get custom tuned and good to go from there.

It definately won't be a drop in. I know Vit had just put out his supplier of the modified turbines jerked him around and he's out of the modified stock turbo game at the moment.
I think the 10th gen community would really love a nice simple and true drop in turbocharger would you agree? One that is truly a bolt in performance upgrade that can be accomplished by the majority.

So who is going to step up and offer such an option now that Vit has stopped offering his upgrade as an option:hmm:

Yeah. A TD04 is cool... don't get me wrong. Pushing the 250-300 hp/liter realm is a bit much (for what I'd ever do)... though it could probably manage the 200hp/liter on just 93. We're still at something of a rev deficit compared to the K-engine... so we'd need more torque.

Sending in out stockers as a core to get a different turbine... hell, maybe a compressor along the way is good value for the money... and shifting excessive low end torque for torque that'll carry well past 5000 RPM. I want my big torque hit between 4000-6000 RPM. I want to shift at redline, such as it is, and have my revs fall amongst that peak torque.

The car is great as it is and having low end torque is cool and all... but it does not make for a fast car.

Could be anybody. :rolleyes1:
Well 'anybody' is going to make a lot of money if they come out with a upgrade that allows us to use the value of our existing turbos as a core to have a relatively inexpensive drop in that's going to let us approach 300 hp and shift our big low torque hit up higher where revs make more useful power

Just saying... 'anybody'...?

I know I'm hoping for something that modifies both sides so I don't have to buy another turbo just for the core. Obviously that will drive up costs of the product itself but would be somewhat offset by not having to source a core...

@LilToTo17 any idea when this greddy turbo becomes a reality? And I hope the RV6 front pipe doesn't get pushed back again as I'm waiting for that myself.
