My 2018 SI Coupe is 3-4 months old with 3.5K miles . I saw some discoloring in the exhaust tip (picture). Anything I can do?

Ah, I was looking at the polished part. I'll have to look at mine and see what it looks like.

Thanks. If you don’t mind, can you please take a picture?

Thanks. I will take of it when it gets warmer.
Also, maybe the dealership would take care of it under warranty?
Doubtful. Warranty doesn’t cover that type of wear and tear, even tho it shouldn’t be chipping.

I will try the dealership and see what they say.

Not a big problem.
From zroger73’s post:
I cleaned the chipped areas using isopropyl alcohol, masked off the part that is supposed to be chrome, then used a tiny paint brush to apply a thin layer of flat Rustoleum Protective Enamel, let that dry, then applied a thicker layer.

By the way, zroger73, do you have to reapply the paint sometimes?

No. I touched it up in June 2017 at less than 1,000 miles. Here we are eight months and 6,000 miles later and the touch-up is still holding up just fine.

Ok. I will do the same once I do a full detailing when the weather warms up.
Thanks for your instructions.

Mine is chipping way worse than that.. but most of it has chipped away so now it looks like plain metal with some soot on it... hope it wont rust.

wouldnt this go under warranty?
I will try next time I go to the dealership. My arguement is the car is only 3 months ago. I won’t insist because zrogers’ way is easy enough to do.,
