Tomorrow my Si gets the revised rear suspension parts. I've been complaining since week one on the hollow clunking I've been getting in our cold Canadian winters. Took the service manager for a ride (old buddy of mine), and he was annoyed with it too haha. I will post an update tomorrow !

Next week Eibachs go in (specifically for Si)

Sorry meant to update !

Yes its 90% gone. I wasn't expecting it to be fully quiet, as I'm sure you'll hear suspension no matter what. I'm quite happy with it. Make sure they follow the bulletin, and replace ALL the parts listsed, not just the damper mounts.

What your car within the range on the vin? Mine is not but mine makes some crazy clunking noises in the rear during cold weather.

There was a bulletin out for suspension noise. It has since been removed as far as I know. It doesn't actually fix the problem. There's another thread on here with people complaining about it.

My car has been at the dealers 5 times, and to no avail. Its an issue that Honda needs to address but they seem to be playing dumb. It is not "stuff in your trunk" either. I'm starting to get annoyed with all the BS I'm hearing from dealers. My dealer told me I was the only one with issues on the car, yet everyone I know own an SI has the same issue.

My clunking noise really comes alive at -15 and below. -25 and lower is just unbearable.

Yupp I"m not even dealing with my dealer about it until I know there is a true fix released. I'll definitely complain before warranty expires if it takes that long. Trying to avoid the dealer fiddling around with the car as little as possible. Luckily the weather is going to be warming up around here soon for the rest of the year so I'll worry about it again come December.

I think I'm going to do the same as NHCivicGuy because it's happening since day 1 for me, which was 6 days ago.

I don't think it is bushings.. because it's only happening on the right side.. unless the bushings come in "Left" and "Right" configurations. They need to figure out which parts of the entire rear axle/suspension assembly are unique to each side.. and dismantle a car, and replace each one of those piece by piece until the noise goes away. This is going to cause unnecessary wear on other components of our suspension assemblies. Which should have been fixed 20,000 Civic Si's ago. It's hard on the body as well. The mounts can be damaged from this problem. Which is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen, if someone wipes out because of it one day.

EDIT: A new car should sound new. Especially at this price.

Honda, a car made in Canada at 30 dollars per hour, should be far better than a car made in Mexico. They will hear it from me on this one. Take a few Si's up to Nunavut this summer and bring your best R&D, test and re-test until it's done right. Or you can give me my money back.
