Wow, just wow. Let me first say I've installed many strut bars over the years. It's one of the easiest mods ever.

Well, my Sirimoto bar does not fit. No matter what I tried it lines up about 1/16 of an inch short. I can almost get the bolts lined up with the mounting plate holes but it's just off. What kind of quality control goes into these things?

What a waste of money. And I've only driven my car a couple thousand miles... no way the strut towers are out of spec.
I'm really sorry to hear about this. Please send an email with a couple pictures to [email protected]. If it is indeed defective somehow, we'll of course take care of it by sending you a brand new one or issuing a full refund.

Also just know that when you purchase parts from us, you're never going to be stuck with something that doesn't work. We will always step in and take care of the issue.

What picture can I take? Go back out to my car and try to put it on for the third time? It looks to me like they welded on the bar ends just a little off (short). If I force it, it almost goes fully into the holes but then there's no wiggle room to get the supplied flange bolt to fit properly. The red end pieces alone line up perfectly with my strut top studs. Clearly the problem is the bar itself being a bit short.

This is one of the problems with getting parts sourced from outside suppliers (lack of quality control).

I'm just chalking this up as one of those mods that didn't work and I'm buying a one piece Ultra Racing bar. I've had good luck with that brand before. Lesson learned I guess.

The bad part is, I can't even the Sirimoto bar because I've just told people it doesn't fit. :(

If you can't take a picture, no problem. We can take the bar back and compare it with known good bars. However, just know that the bar is a tight fit by design, and we have had customers who thought it would not fit exactly for this reason. Did you happen to watch our YouTube video on the exact what to install it?

I saw the video. It should be a straight forward easy install. Notice in the video how there's wiggle room to put the bolts on? I have no wiggle room.

I even tried installing it a second time by detaching the bar and installing the red mounting brackets first. They lined up and fit perfectly. Then attempting to add the bar the holes didn't line up with the bracket holes... not even close.

I saw the video. It should be a straight forward easy install. Notice in the video how there's wiggle room to put the bolts on? I have no wiggle room. I know what the issue is. This bar itself is definitely too short. Probably by only a mm or two but it's enough to make it not fit. I've been modding cars for over 30 years. And I'm not a 98 lb. weakling.

I even tried installing it a second time by detaching the bar and installing the red mounting brackets first. They lined up and fit perfectly. Then attempting to add the bar the holes didn't line up with the bracket holes... not even close. So it's pretty clear the brackets I was sent are fine but the bar itself is out of spec.

I had my doubts about the quality of the bar before I purchased it and now I know the quality control on these is poor. The one I received DOES NOT FIT.
We'll take the bar back here no problem at all and exchange it for a new one or refund you in full. Again, I'm sorry it seems you received a bar that is slightly short. Overall we get very few issues like this given the amount that are out there, although I know that probably doesn't make you feel any better about the situation. Please just PM me and I'll make sure the returns department receives your return request.

Just to update the situation with my bar not fitting. It turns out the problem wasn't the bar but the brackets. One of them was defective (not slotted properly) so it was a quality control issue on their end.

ProCivic handled everything GREAT on their end. Excellent customer service. They'll be sending out new brackets to me. :) Don't hesitate to buy from them.

Good to hear they took care of it but I am honestly not surprised, I have always had a good experience with them :) I will say my bar was a tight fit for sure but yeah yours sounds like a batch notching on the bracket or something of that sort.

Yes, they still fit that model just fine. In terms of stock, we expect our next shipment to be in very soon (we are currently out).
