Hi all! New to the forum and just making my way around the different areas. I've been taking the Si out every weekend in an attempt to find the nearest "fun" road to drive on and haven't had too much luck. I am about 20 minutes north of Seattle so it's not to difficult for me to head north or east, south is a little tricky as going through Seattle tends to eat up quite a bit of time.

Looking for a quick "trip" that I can get in and out of in under 2 or 3 hours without worrying the wife too much in the early morning hours that doesn't have too much traffic to block me while I'm enjoying myself. All while obeying the speed limit of course.

I did some quick googling but most of the results seem to be scenic (which is a plus but looking more for curves and turns over mountain views) and one recommendation even suggested a partial dirt road. Not sure I'm ready to take my brand new paint job over gravel and dirt.

Anyway, any suggestions you guys might have would be greatly appreciated!

i read this puzzled like 3 times... I honestly thought you were talking about the Best Western hotel chain, and then when I saw the "get in and out in 2-3 hours" part I was really getting confused

Well I wouldn't drive here just for it but high bridge road/elliot road can be kinda fun if you are ever in the area. can be rare to get on it without traffic ruining your fun though so definitely dont just drive up here for 10 minutes of "maybe" fun. plus that road stays wet/icy longer than others so best to wait for summer.

If you ever find yourself on whidbey island find campbell rd, thats a pretty fun hill.

or this is a fun little loop on the island too. used to be able to take holst to glendale to jewitt but I dont think the roads gone over that water for quite a while, was early 2ks when I started driving over there.

I know theres some roads out north of granite falls that are kinda cool, but again nothing I would drive just to do. That loop on the island I linked to, I worked right off deer lake for a while and could be home in 2 minutes but chose the long way around that loop every day. (speed limit isn't fun though ;) )
