Thanks for your order! Wrinkle Red definitely seems to be the popular color for this intake. I *think* the coating is somewhat heat resistant, although we haven't tested the actual temperatures. On other Injen Wrinkle Red intakes, it does feel cooler than the standard polished ones after a long drive. Again though, I'm not 100% sure on this.
What material is this made from that the wrinkle red finsh is applied to?

Mine shipped out today, they called me on Wednesday and said I should have it mid to late next week, but I'm in Indiana so little longer than somebody closer to Cali....

Pro civic said they weren't expecting this kind of turn out and sold quite a few units, especially in the wrinkle red to no surprise. Hope you get it quick

Why would you make a comment like that people here are happy and excited to get this for there car

unless you have done test yourself with this car and product you know 0 about it
You probably dont have ether

I just don’t understand why people come here to complain about somthing like this if you have no desire on getting the product
real reviews will say much more when people start receiving them we will all find out

Because there’s a lack of education around the aftermarket scene, Injen just doesn’t make good intakes, curious why they’re still around with all the information on their intakes for several different platforms, they suck! 95% of the time it just sucks in warmer air then what the stock intake would show, it’s also been proven that these intakes make your afr’s all wacked out, which could results in damage to the car. Would you risk damaging a New Type R to hear a silly woosh of air? There’s no way to smooth it out either because there’s no tuning software out yet. Unless you paying for MoTECH. You can buy this intake and run it, idk, just informing people of the risks. It’s real.

Guys, this intake proved to be much more popular than Injen thought. They are trying their best to fulfill all backorders right now. Originally, the delay was noted to be about 3-4 business days, but has recently been extended. I can't give a general update for the time frames since it really depends on your individual order. Please PM me or email [email protected] with your Order # and we'll give you the best ETA we can. We apologize for any inconvenience these delays have caused - we know every single one of you wants your intake right away. I would too!

Just as a side note: On our 9th Gen Civic Si race car, we ended up using the Injen intake because it was the only one out of the bunch we tested that did not require a tune just to get the AFRs correct. Similar experience with the 10th Gen EXT / Si. I can't speak for every Injen intake ever made, but the ones I've had experience with have been above average when it comes to AFRs.
