Hey guys. Not trying to be a cheapskate exactly, but I'll mostly be street driving the car with perhaps some fun driving/EMPTY on-off ramp cruises, and of course a few 1st-2nd gear wheel spins. I suspect I'll wear the tires out sooner than 10k so I'll probably be buying a set every year. Check out the options below.

So here is the stock tire.

This is a good option and only 10mm wider and 3mm taller-

No experience with this tire. How bad could it be for $109 less per corner? Obviously 10mm wider and a full 15mm taller... Yeah that's over a half inch so the speedo will be off but the taller tire might 'look' nicer at stock height. May also be a little less likely to just spin crazy in 2nd gear at least. Then again, it could look stupid. Any thoughts?

If you don't plan to drive much and just want to do burnouts? Funny because there's even cheaper tires out there than this! Can't be good over 130.

Looking at tirerack there's some good options in the OEM size like the sumitomo htr III, only $130 a tire.

True I saw them and also some Pirelli that are a bit less edgy in performance. I guess I have a few months to decide.

You think you'll wear out the stockers before 10K miles?

The tires that came on my WRX were the same Treadwear rating and looked practically new when I traded it in with 12K on the clock.

I know burn outs are fun but good lord.

I don't know yet. I had to have one tire replaced at 3200 and it's definitely 2/32 deeper than the remaining tires. Maybe the outside layer wears off faster than the under layers. I try to avoid burnouts but I'll allow a bit of wheelspin on occasion.

Im planning on running some 255-30-20 tires on mine when its time to replace the tires. Would like to see some pictures of the set up if someone has done this.

That's a good point. Just need some nicer 18's that are at least 9" wide!

I found a website that sells 255/30/20 pilot super sports for 224 less than $1k total. I’d rather keep the stock look. I don’t like any of the rims I’ve seen. Plus I don’t want to change the steering geometry.

February they will have 265/35/18 for the PS4S and looking forward to it :). I inquired from the Michelin website when the size would be available.
