You just need Wifi to download and register the app.
It works well to start and stop on board logging. Then you can download the datalog into KTuner on the computer via the On Board Logging option on the toolbar.

There are several people who go between 87 for long commutes, standard tune, and ethanol tune without the ethanol kit, still to this day. The V1.2 is capable of this now, too.
Yep, ive flashed at gas stations before bc i needed gas and wasnt near any ethanol so i went from my e40 blend to my 93 tune. When i drove to Kansas they only have 91 so I flashed starter 21 when i got to Kansas. Pretty awesome that now you can do it from a phone with the v1.2.
That's exactly what I want the V1.2 for. Ethanol may not always be available where I go to for work so would be nice to have the right tune running for the type of gas that is available.
