Just thought I'd share a few photos of my vehicle with minor protection add ons, such as door edge and sill guards. In my old vehicle, I tend to be a little reckless with it, and this time around, I think I want to be a little bit more careful and baby it as much as I can. Plus, adding the edge and sill guard gave me practice to when I buy my bumper/hood/mirror/headlight protection kit from Xpel and install it myself.

I do see the edge protector. I don't see the door sill guard in the pictures?
Are there any 3rd party ones those are made for 2016 civic? Here's an example:

I've read in forums before that those sill guards look pretty cheap so it was returned.

The door sill guard/protector I put it is barely visible (if at all) on the photo: IMG_1469.JPG

They are a clear film I bought at: XPEL Clear Universal Door Sill Guard (60" x 2.75") Paint Protection Film Kit

Thanks. As you have transparent sills, that's why I couldn't see it.
As per the link that I have posted in my previous post, I have the similar kind of door sills for my 2014 civic and they are still intact after 1.5 years.
I suppose, there are no aftermarket door sills available for 2016 civic.

Thanks for the transparent link. Do you think that would work as a trunk lid guard? Was surprised even the touring didn't come standard with them...something you don't notice til you don't have them!

Definitely! It should work easily if you want to protect the bottom part of the trunk lid. If you want to protect it all throughout (along the curves), be sure to look at IMG_1467.JPG and look at how I made notches. It should help with the curved part so it doesn't clump around that area.

We had to add it, and tap it from the kitchen line. We would always just use the kitchen sink until friends came one time and worked on their vehicles and dirtied up the kitchen. I'm like - nope, gotta add a work sink in the garage :)

I'm jealous. Your garage has running water.

*sigh*... I live on a concrete slab, so running that line would be quite the pain. Oh that I had a basement.

How about, "*sigh* Oh to live somewhere where it doesn't get so cold that I can't run a water line through my attic to my garage which wasn't piped when they built the place."
