Just curious if any body knows what the fastest 0-60mph car is , that also boasts 40+mpg fuel consumption. I know the civic must be in the mix. Does anybody know of a car that is faster with 40+mpg?

I don't think that there is anything remotely close to the Civic 1.5t other than the Accord 1.5t.

You'd have to have multiple categories for this, because powertrains are so different:
  • Electric vehicles
  • Hybrid/PIH
  • Gas or Diesel (no hybrid systems)

civic is pretty much killin it, i've gotten 63 mpgs on my best trip. And i've gotten under 5 seconds with minimal mods, i think its just how you drive.

I can crack the 40s w/the A/C on running down the interstate w/the cruise set to 75. I was between 42 and 43 from a 600 mile trip each way running between 70-80 mph from GA to VA and back. I can do better w/it off, honestly but... yeah, I don't see how you're only getting 30 on the highway.

Idk if you guys are trolling lol. But others with the hatch have similar problems
I have a coupe and 95% of my commute is highway. Best I’ve gotten is 33.8, I was blaming the cold weather but now that I’m down to 32.9 I’m not sure.
