OP didn't specify use other than for a daily driver. I see you're in Virginia; will these be year-round tires subjected to snow and sub-freezing temps? If so, most of what has been suggested won't help you. If the car never sees snow or temps below 40, a summer tire is what you want. Personally, if I was going to replace the tires for something sportier, I'd take the opportunity to get rid of the boat anchor stock wheels too. Then you also have the option to keep the stock wheels & tires for cold weather, and get lighter wheels with sticky tires for the other 8-9 months of the year.
