OP didn't specify use other than for a daily driver. I see you're in Virginia; will these be year-round tires subjected to snow and sub-freezing temps? If so, most of what has been suggested won't help you. If the car never sees snow or temps below 40, a summer tire is what you want. Personally, if I was going to replace the tires for something sportier, I'd take the opportunity to get rid of the boat anchor stock wheels too. Then you also have the option to keep the stock wheels & tires for cold weather, and get lighter wheels with sticky tires for the other 8-9 months of the year.

The Pilot Sport 4 S is the 'new' Pilot Super Sport.
I know but Costco does not sell them.
I honestly not a huge fan of PSS, but for that price point it is no-brainer

Heard a lot of good things about the Firehawk Indy 500s for bang for the buck. Talked with several people who have had a good experience with them both on a 9th gen Civic, 10th gen Civic and other RWD cars. I was going to grab a set on my 9th before until I decided to go w/a 10th and got the summer tires with it... Eagle F1s. The Eagles are... well... they're better than the A/Ss. That's as much praise as I'll give them thus far with what driving I've done. Most OEM tires seem to be trash.
I haven't really heard much about the Firehawk Indys but a quick google brought me to this test. Looks like a good bang for the buck for sure!

They certainly are a high performing tire, but I wouldn't say they're a no brainer. They are pricey compared to some of the competition especially if OP is just DDing his car.

My local Costco has PSS for ~$620 installed (not sure here, might be a little more), how much would it be for some of the competition?

Is that in the 235/40/18 size? That's an amazing price if so. Tire Rack has them for $199 a tire so probably around $900 installed somewhere.

For reference, the Hankook v12 Evo 2 is $123 a tire, and Firehawk Indy 500 is $130 each.

The new PS4S is not available in a 235, but it does come in a 245 for $199.

I was wrong about 620 though.

You can fit 245’s I’ve seen lots of the non si’s with 245’s, but they had to adjust the inner fenders.
I'm hoping a 275 will fit. I know a couple of other autox guys want to try that on the front.

Whats the civicx.com recommendation for upgrading the stock tires on the SI? After pushing the HP on my SI through tunes and mods to come, im getting a lot more wheel spin in WOT. Pretty sure that an upgrade in tires is the next item on my list, but im not sure what to get.

Edit: i guess i should specify that this is my daily driver, so im not looking for track tires. I just want something that is going to grip better than what the stock ones provide.
I have Continental Extreme Contact Sport Plus summer tires for my Si. Incredible tires and cheaper than the Michelins.

The Continental Extreme Contact Spot is a great summer tire, a tad slower than the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 on the autocross course, but not by much (and you won't notice on the street).

The Pilot Sports tend to wear worse than the Continentals on low camber cars (like the SI). The Extreme Contact Sport is faster than the Michelin Pilot Super Sport in the wet and dry, according to Grassroots Motorsports.

245s fit without issue on a SI with offset wheels. I've fit 265/35/18 RE71Rs, but there's no reason for that on the street.

The Firestone Firehawk 500 is based on the older RE-11A. It's a good tire and won't wear quickly like the other tires mentioned above. My friend runs them as his daily tires on a C4 Corvette and they handle the power well. Best bang for the buck.

IIRC these are the ones that are sort of amazing in the wet for autocross?
