Has anyone had their fob battery replaced yet? Is it something I can do myself, or must the Honda dealer charge me $150 to do it?

Super easy to do it yourself. Pull out the physical key by sliding the tab in the "H" side and pulling out the chrome end. The pry apart the fob halves. Battery is coin-type CR-2032.

Yep this. Pretty easy to take it apart. Took me 5 minutes to put it back together but I think thats just because I was extra careful and didn't want to snap any of the clips.

Just don't lose your key fob. They charge an arm and a leg to reprogram. Reprogramming requires a hds tool connected to the car.

Why did you have to change your battery so soon?
Probably just planning ahead. Plus, older fobs had a battery door on the back, which was simple and easy. There aren't any markings on the new fob that say, "Pry apart here," or whatever.

Good call. I'm debating between expensive brand name or dollar store where you can get 3x2032 for $1.

My low keyfob battery light just came on. 2 years and 4 days after I picked it up Nov 12th 2015. 64,055 miles not that they matter for battery life other than its been in the vehicle connected for a lot of hours the last 2 years.

Low key fob battery light? That’s a thing? Cool.

Pull the key out and split the case. Careful with the buttons as they are not held in by anything other than the case

Yes it does. Mine actually took me by surprise.
Nearly 2 years from the time I picked it up.
Really easy to replace
