There are a number of threads on this. There are a handful of systems available currently, with more in development. There are some who have done minor modifications to the stock exhaust to get a sound that they prefer, as well.

From what I have read the stock SI exhaust is not restrictive and any aftermarket replacements or mods will not increase power/torque.

But if it weighs significantly less than stock....that is an effective performance gain. Old school drag racer logic says 100 lbs equals 10 horsepower and a tenth of a second on a qtr mile time

I wonder if they are going to make a black version like they did for the hatch backs.:hmm:
Hmm... I'm not positive about that, but I'm sure it would look great. Since the layout is similar I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult for Magnaflow to mix and match.

Going for louder? I just replaced the resonator w/ straight pipe and installed some new tips. gives me a little extra volume w/o sounding like a fart can.

I currently just have the resonator removed and it sounds a little better. Still not loud enough yet. I don't really feel like hacking my mufflers out as I feel it sounds like pure shit. I had a Yonaka catback on my 8th gen and it was decent. I'll likely get another this time around.

would adding a universal 5" body Magnaflow resonator sound a little better on a factory system ?

It probably wouldn't make all that much of a difference. When you completely remove the resonator, there is only a slight increase in volume, but a deeper sound.
