"Styled by a witless seven year old, the Civic Type-R actually has one of the very best front-wheel-drive chassis ever made. Most people jumped out of it, and muttered something about " better than a Focus RS. It grips like dried Wheetbix to porcelain, refuses to understeer and has a telepathic ability to let its rear axle lose grip just the way the driver requires on a trailing throttle. Its nimble, the combination of turbo whump and VTEC revs is addictive, and the gearshift is proper old-school Honda. It's a fantastic driving machine."

I respect his criticisms and compliments.

I wonder now how a seven-year-old with his wits about him would style a car.

What's the source for this - from the magazine? It doesn't appear to be in TG's posted stories...

Seems Chris may have changed his tune a bit with more exposure, or maybe he's just reflecting the group consensus here, not his own opinion (can't tell because of the ambiguous use of quotation marks here). He was not so enthusiastic about it in his solo test.

Glad I bought mine when I had the chance. The R is very addictive to drive fast :) Makes a good daily too. Just happy my R sits in the garage during the work week.

I think we all know that. Only took one drive for me. I am going through withdrawals. Too damn cold and I cannot afford a new set of wheels and tires.
Tell me about it. Winter is finally here in Georgia, hopefully its mild. That 10k down payment could have bought me some parts!

Dec 2 nd was the last day i drove it non stop racing on country and interstate roads for that weekend. But heck, i was doing that every dry weekend since i bought it back in sept. Its so sad. To get a sense of competitive virtual surreal performance driving, i race on Drift 3 lol. It will always be my weekend toy . Salted and snow roads during winter will be for my TJ Wrangler. And thats my trade off which is so fun too hahaha. Only good thing is my ride will always have low mileage and low maintenance issues

Another great thing about living in Florida besides no income tax and state reciprocity with mine hehe.
