That's actually not the issue once you put the spare in. The issue is that the floor raises up so up against the back seat instead of going up, in now needs to go down. I have the same issue now (got my spare stuff in the mail this week)
Yeah and as everyone says it’s not horrible, def worth having a spare vs that little misfit. But that stock cargo net that was “thrown in” in leiu of adm helps keep it down.

Yes :) definitely worth having a temporary spare wheel/tire  compared to that dinky little air pump with sealant . It did raise the floor board up about 3 inches, but not a big deal to me. I have a subwoofer box (dual 12-inch) sitting on top of the trunk mat. Still fits perfect even with spare underneath and can even still close the slide on top cover :D.

Can any one confirm if the socket breaker bar fits the 22mm oem size lug nut and that the 22mm lug nut are to be reused with the spare wheel?

That’s a good question because standard 2016+ Civic lug size is 19mm.

I caved and got the spare tire kit from my local honda dealer. Thanks to @RatedR for everything! $338 with the tire! We forgot to take a pic of the scissor jack in it's cubby.

hey I just got my kit today, did you remove the old sticker on the door jam or just put it over? Also the halfmoon spare tire sticker, where does that go on the rim?

You get everything in the box, item #1.

How did you get it for $338? Did you order local at your shop? Ordering with tax shipped to my location is almost $500 bucks.

Edit** Ordered local through honda estore! no shipping cost if delivered to your local dealer. Comes out to ~$330 with tire. =)

Has anyone received the spare tire kit in the last month? I ask because I have had one on order since 12/27 and Honda seems to be dragging their feet getting this out to customers. Is this normal for Honda?

Just picked up my spare tire kit! It looks like they are filling back orders as the kit becomes available. Had to order the tire from tire rack, so I’ll have it installed in a few days.

Take a small flat screw driver and look real close for a slot . The middle of those hook things is a cover and under it is a screw holding it on.

Has someone tested if this spare wheel fits on the CTR's wheel studs? Again, the studs and associated lug nuts are bigger than standard Civic so y'all might be wasting money on the steel donut wheel.

I just checked as I was installing my kit. Yes the lug wrench provided does fit the standard Type R lug nuts. I would assume Honda thought the kit out enough to make sure the temp wheel would use the same nuts...

It was interesting that the wheel they provide has an insert for the lug nut seat. That makes me wonder if the use the same wheel for different applications and just change the insert for different lug size and seat...
