Seeing stuff like this makes me glad my Civic sits in a garage. So sorry for your loss man. You're the second guy this week to have his wheels stolen :(

:banghead: It’s sh*t like this the reason why some of us can’t own nice things. Stuff like this is also the reason why I now have a bunch security cameras on my property, 2 loud ass barking dogs in my fenced area, and 2 sets of wheel locks on all my vehicles. If it’s not druggy tweakers to worry about it’s damn thieves looking to make an easy buck. Sorry for your lost. I’ve been ripped off a few times in the past. I know the feeling.

I'm getting more :fear: about my wheels as these topics keep coming up. One problem with wheel locks is that it'll encourage the daring ones to break your windows and try to get the lock key from either your trunk or glove box. Even if you keep the key well hidden, you could end up with a broken window to deal with.

Time is important for thieves, too much time to find you key and remove wheels, they will go to another car

Sadly I've had the same happen. I ended up installing multiple locking nuts (which will not stop them, but will slow them down), along with a tilt and shock alarm. The final piece of mind is a camera system with shock sensor and night night motion capture. I had a second attempt after my reinstall and i actually caught my car being canvased again. The car was left alone and my neighbors was taken.

Another good tip from the officer I spoke with was try and keep your address a secret when possible, a lot of cases resulted after new tires were installed or work was recently done on the car. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask me any questions.

I live in Katy, TX. The undocumented laborers that are working in my complex are coming from the east side of Houston where it's ghetto and shitty. I've had the car for 2 weeks. I did not know that the sport wheels were even a hot commodity. I didn't think about wheel locks because I didn't think I would have to worry about it. I've ordered some new wheel locks/lugs and new wheels already. Luckily it didn't damage the side skirt. The frame of the car was resting on the bricks. I told myself to keep this car stock but it doesn't look like that'll happen anymore.

Not having wheel locks just makes you the easier target. You have to think like the thief. Which cars should I go for? The one with locks or the one without? There’s always someone that doesn’t have them

Dash cam ?

Work when car is off ?
Of course, as posted you need a kit and hard wired.

Depends also on the brand, features both of BlackVue 650S 2CH are no only clear at night but wide angled.

+1. Of course wheel locks, or any deterrent on anything of value, won't prevent any motivated thief from stealing, but it will slow them down. It will make them think twice about it. If they need to break the windows to look for the wheel lock, that means the alarm will go off and they won't have time to look for the lock to steal the wheels. At worst, you'll deal with a broken window.

Anyway, it sucks. Sorry OP. Two cars ago I had my vehicle broken into. They were looking for the aftermarket radio.

I had wheel locks save my wheels. Some thieves tried to get my wheels when I was parked in a parking lot shopping. I came out to my car to discover 4 out of 5 lugnuts gone from one wheel. They didn't even notice that the one lugnut was a locknut, apparently. Locknuts are not going to stop a determined thief, but most wheel thefts are crimes of opportunity. They go after the low hanging fruit--the wheels with no locknuts at all.
