Just saw the new Acura TLX A-Spec.. looks so good.. hopefully the new Accord has some of it's features.. such aggressive styling.. I'd be in love if it there was a manual option A-Spec

I wonder how this will sell vs the competition now that I think about it. The Altima has 270hp, Maxima 300hp, Camry 268(getting 295 in 2018), Fusion 240hp AWD optional and 325hp AWD std, Malibu(which sad to say I think has really stepped up its style game) 250hp. Mazda6 only has a 184hp option so its not suited for this comparison.

Most offer more/same power and even the 1 that offers less has AWD option. I think aside from Honda's reputation their only selling point (to me) is they are the only manual option. I haven't looked at fuel economy but until we know the accords we cant really compare those.

the accord 2.0 t will never compete even close to a type r

highly detuned missing essential parts to make higher boost , not impressed with the weight to power ratio or suspension.
Has anyone even confirmed it is using lsd?

Any pics of that?
Pics of what? The Ford Fusion line's been nearly all turbos for years and dropped the NA v6 a couple yrs back.

The lineup for a while now has been 1.6T(1.5T now I think), 2.5, 2.0T(awd optional), and now 2.7TT(awd standard)

It's not really supposed to, but with even the 1.5T making not to much less than the R with just a few mods I can easily see the Accord doing it. It also uses the same 6spd from the R so an LSD swap may be possible.

The SE is by far the most common trim level of Fusion which comes standard with a 2.5L NA I4, though it can be equipped with either a 1.5L or 2.0L turbo I4. It's hard to say how many SEs are actually ordered with one of the turbo engines. I did a quick spot check and found mostly non-turbo SEs in my area, but I do see a lot of "EcoBoost" badges on Fusions on the road.

You can make use of 60 more hp. Even more then 60. Motor mounts, hondata traction control, meaty sticky tires. Boost by gear helps too. Also HP is not what really causes traction issues.. its torque.
Kritz is a clown, just look at his avatar, a newb greenbean type who doesn't know squat, just a pouty thin upper lip.

not even worth the time or effort to do a LSD swap. Combined with spending the money on turbos etc. The suspension will never be as good or handle as well as the type R. If the SI had the 2.0 T for 24k and LSD i would say get it. But then the type R would not be as good and probably production would have stopped on year 2

I looked at the accord engine 2.0t and alot is different. After spending 5k on mods you still wouldnt be up to type R standards. Now you are up to almost 30k , DYF just buy a used 235i then and flash that car to 360 HP
even then that car wont handle or drive like the type r

you must be a young guy because when i was in my mid 20s i did the same thing to a v6 accord coupe 6speed , and all these years even after still owning it , i keep telling myself i wish i just bought the acura TL in 2004 for 5k more.
Engineers have this all figured out before the car is released trust me
better engine
nicer interior
HID
thicker sway bars
more torque
LSD
etc etc

I also had the option to buy a s2000 but i said no way , that crap is like driving in a coffin
now look at the resale value because of its potential .

until someone can verify , the new accord will most likely have a different clutch, flywheel, longer shift gates, crappy LSD if any, shift lag, crappy bushings and shocks.

You will have quite a car though off the line once hondata reflashes the ecu to 91 octain only.

sorry but i am done with accord , after driving a bmw twin turbo 3.0, 8 speed

i am going with type r due to the fact resale will be high , its new and its the ultimate track car for 34k and i know it will put a smile on my face when driving twisties

i could care less about off the line, although i do like AWD and fast 0-60. I will probably never race my type r off the line until a reflash happens and mods come in the turn of an easy 350hp to the wheels.

pointless ramblings

You must love to rant, because I'm not going to even bother reading all that. I said it could easily make similar power, and an LSD POSSIBLY, COULD, be swapped. You must love to sound smart to your self in your head.

Also, I'm 34. My last car was a bolt-on, heads/cams Mach1. I don't give a shit about your opinion I didn't ask for.

cool have fun with your one sided conversation in your thread. Sounds like you have other people who feel the same way

i am sure you are one of those guys who will put a bigger engine in the accord and think you are faster than the rest too.
ignorance is bliss
