Can you post some details of how you wired it? Touring model has a different harness than all other civics. Or did you buy a conversion harness.

Finally got around to doing this install. I'd say the touring headlights are a noticeable improvement over the factory halogens. I would not pay anywhere near retail for them, but its worth the 620 bucks I paid they are worth it.

Friendly advice, test your adapter harnesses before you remove your front bumper. The first harness I received had the polarity swapped on the low beams.

Don't really understand why one would pay $500+ dollars on a set of touring headlights when you can swap in HID or LED headlights into the existing housing. Plus, the stock headlights are projector versus the touring reflector headlights so you would actually get a much better setup then paying all of that money. And IMO it looks better too. I swapped LED's into mine and I can't say I miss the touring lights at all.

Halogen bulbs > LED bulbs in the factory halogen projectors. LED's look great up close but lack distance due to how much the light scatters.

Personally, given the choice between a LED bulb or an HID kit, I'd take the HID kit every time.

I totally disagree, I tested the visibility of the halogen bulbs right before I swapped in my LED'S and it was a night and day difference. The LED's function perfectly and IMO have distance comparable to HID's. I also payed a fraction of the cost of a HID kit, and it was much easier to install, The existing halogens that come with the Civic are lackluster at best.

HID kits can be found for under $50 that perform decently. Hell, you can get a kit from ddm tuning and call it a day.

Maybe so, but I still preferred the LED's plug and play nature versus the installation of the HID 's. On top of that, LED headlights are less complicated overall and probably last longer. I dont think HID's are inferior to LED's but I just figured for the $45 I paid for my kit, if it performs way better than stock, its reliable, and easy to install then why bother with HID's? I think LED's are definitely worthy replacements over the stock any day.

Honestly seems like there is a big disparity when it comes to the performance of LED. I seen people say that it is comparable to HID and some say it has no throw what so ever. I honestly have no real experience of the performance of the led bulbs

Did I read that right?
Did you take your touring lights out and swap them for projector’s? Im only asking cause I need a set of the OEM LED headlights to do a mod to.

My bad, should have phrased that better. I meant that I don't miss the fact that I do not have the Civic Touring headlights on my car because the LED swap into my existing projectors was $50 compared to $500 for the touring lights, I have an EX so I didn't swap touring lights for the projectors.
