So I've come to the conclusion to get the car PPF and Ceramic coating. I just wanted some people input on this and if they have any experience with it, this will be my first time getting it done so any input on it would be great. It was either this or wrap the car but wrapping the car I was quoted for $3600, which is kinda steep.

Here's the package I was offered and would like to know if I'm overpaying or how much I should be paying.

Formula One Pinnacle Windows Tint - $399
Front Windshield Tint - $150
Xpel Ultimate PPF Full front coverage, includes full front bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors - $1750
Ceramic Pro 9H Gold Package - $1575
Tax - 9.75%
Total = 4251.72 - $296.33 = Out the door price = $3955.39

Car Wrap = $3600 + Tax
Tint + PFF + Ceramic Coating = $3955

Is spending almost $4K to get this done and ideal price range? or can I negotiate?

$2,800 all total including PPF, window & windshield ceramic tint, paint correction & opti-coat pro ceramic. My first try going this route & Ive been very happy so far.

$4k seems pretty steep, but I hear that Xpel is the most expensive.

I would recommend talking to Vinny Sorrention (Detail by Vinny) and see what he could do for you. He is in the Nashville area and does high quality work.

You can always negotiate. Price also depends on where you are and the credibility of the installer. If you want a perfect job w/ a backed installation warranty, then you'll have to pay a premium. Personally, I've seen both; lower price and your type of prices. I would try to start to talk them down to $3,500 range. But sounds like your quote is about right for both top quality ppf, ceramic paint coating and tint if they're a premium installer. You may need to shop around. But remember, it's not an easy installation by any means, even for pros. That's why you hear horror stories on the forums of people that paid for their ppf install and turned out shtty.
For the cost of the material; DIY kits for ceramic coating ranges from $50-$200 depending on the size of kits and brand you get. If you go to the Xpel website for a DIY kit, full front material alone according to your package is about $1,500. I've recently realized premium ceramic tint is about $500 around here. Again, all of your stuff is premium, adding those is already at about $2,500. So you can start to reason and negotiate price from there.

You mind telling me who so I can see if it’s comparable and also to see if he can price match.

Thanks!

Those are both Vinyl wrap shops and not PPF. I would also not want a shop that specializes in Vinyl and DIP refining the finish on my vehicle, as perfecting paint is not their strong point. I have already seen a handful of Type R's going through friends shops needing fixed after trying to save money on a "cheaper" coating service. Like everything else in life, quality does come with a price tag.

I was quoted $1000 just for the bronze...and additional $800 for Xpel clear bra as well...I saw his work tho, and it is immaculate! So I had him put me in the back of his line. He should be working on my car in mid October, and will probably take 3 days. You are correct, good work comes at a price! I totally agree with you!

Question for those that have had both PPF and ceramic pro done:

Was the PPF also coated with ceramic pro?

My installer says he will not coat the PPF. Having front bumper, whole hood and mirrors done with PPF.

my installer will be coating everything...and I think I'll opt for the Kamikane Miyabi coating (in lieu of Ceramic Pro 9H).
