The Civic doesn't have TPMS sensors. My heartburn with the fix-a-flat kit is that I'd expect it to at least ruin the TMPS sensor...
About that...
The "lower-priced" Hondas - Accord, CR-V, Civic, HR-V, and Fit - use an "indirect" tire pressure monitoring system that measures for relative differences in wheel speed to determine if a tire may be low rather than using actual sensors in each tire to directly measure pressure.
In order for the system to work properly, you must calibrate the TPMS any time you: 1) Adjust the pressure, 2), rotate the tires, 3), replace one or more tires, 4) repair one or more tires.
Since the system looks for differences in rotational speed, it cannot detect an equal over-inflation or under-inflation condition of all tires (such as occurs when all four tires are equally under-inflated in cold weather); therefore, it is important to regularly check and adjust the tire pressures and initialize a calibration routine through the Display Audio screen.
