My heartburn with the fix-a-flat kit is that I'd expect it to at least ruin the TMPS sensor...
The Civic doesn't have TPMS sensors.

About that...

The "lower-priced" Hondas - Accord, CR-V, Civic, HR-V, and Fit - use an "indirect" tire pressure monitoring system that measures for relative differences in wheel speed to determine if a tire may be low rather than using actual sensors in each tire to directly measure pressure.

In order for the system to work properly, you must calibrate the TPMS any time you: 1) Adjust the pressure, 2), rotate the tires, 3), replace one or more tires, 4) repair one or more tires.

Since the system looks for differences in rotational speed, it cannot detect an equal over-inflation or under-inflation condition of all tires (such as occurs when all four tires are equally under-inflated in cold weather); therefore, it is important to regularly check and adjust the tire pressures and initialize a calibration routine through the Display Audio screen.

My heartburn with the fix-a-flat kit is that I'd expect it to at least ruin the TMPS sensor, if not the entire tire. Maybe not. But I also expect Roadside Assistance won't be sending a tow truck for a flat unless you've used the fix-a-flat first to no avail. As with other comments, I'll readily admit my 'faith' in car manufactures has been tainted by some very frustrating experiences with Ford. Honda may be better.
HondaCare has been pretty awesome in my experience. You speak to a well-trained, courteous CSR who will dispatch a local tow company. The wait has been no more than 25 minutes, and you can track the status of the call and the location of the truck on your smartphone. YMMV, but it sure beats the horrible AAA experiences.

It also covers any Honda vehicles that you have, including motorcycles, up to 5 of them. The CSR I spoke to when my Goldwing had a flat didn't even know that...but they sent a flatbed out and loaded it up and towed it to the nearest Honda motorcycle dealership - 30 mi away... It would have been a $300+ tow bill.

I can't believe it's chrome. Seriously.
The current gen Accord has chrome on trim. When did chrome go out of style, wasn't it new just a few years ago.

It might if it had one - the TPMS "calculation" is computer-based and watches variance in tires rotation speeds. there is no "sensor" in the rim/wheel assembly.

The subwoofer rattle kills me, gonna try to fix it today.

Also the "armrests" are already showing wear and I've only put a thousand miles on it.

USA models don't come with it.
Strange that Honda would differentiate between US and Canada models.
In a US Civic, is there a cavity under the trunk mat to store the temporary tire?

There is in mine. Dealer looked at me like I was crazy when I said I wanted to order one. In fact, their parts guy said you can't order one at all. But they'll sell you a tire. Of all the crap they try to sell you at 'closing', I expect a lots of folks would actually buy that spare tire.

This is too funny. For the US model, there is a space for the spare tire but they won't give you the tire.
In European cars, they now come standard with runflats and there is no space for a donut at all. And people hate runflats...

1) The Exhaust Note, way too quiet compared to my old FA5
2) No VTEC, granted there is alot more usuable power throughout the rev range compared to my previous FA5, but there is a lack of urgency to wring it out to redline.
3) Engine Braking, the rate that revs drop when downshifting is so smooth and linear. It's too comfortable.

I test drove the SI twice and below are my personal comments:

1. Engine is great.
2. I did find the clutch to be too high, maybe this is something I have to get used to.
3. Faked grills in front are OK. Those in the back are hideous. Good that the SI Coupe does not them in the back.

I like this car a lot but my top three wish list

Back to a Vtec engine
Better forward visibility
Back to under 180 inches length (I want a compact car not an Accord)
I actually like how the Civic is almost the size of a Camry or Accord. Honda needs to focus on overbuilding the new Accord, it doesn't really need to be a $23k car, should start at $30k. Adjusted for inflation an early 90's Camry was $30k starting and those were the best ones Toyota ever produced.

My 3 gripes with the Civic, center console flexing... just grab hold onto it and force it left or right, it'll move quite a bit. Never seen anything like it, other cars they don't even flex. Feels so cheap.

A/c sucks

Thin sheet metal.
