I'm at 90% with only 550 miles. Most of my driving (if not all) is street. I'm a bit concerned, but I should be ok, Right?
Whats is your mpg? Im at 150miles and have an average mpg of 20. Seems really low to me. Most of my driving is city and i dont even step on the throttle halfway.

For the life of the car (haven't reset Trip B since purchase) is around 26 mpg. Trip A (which I reset every fill-up) varies depending if I have long drives on the freeway. I'm a s***ty driver when it comes MPG. Lol

I once had a loaner Lexus CT200h (hybrid) for a week, and I was getting 21 mpg!! Haha.

I am now currently at 1700-1800 miles with 70% oil life.

Edit: I should also add that true MPG is actually less than what the car says. I do the math manually after every fill up and it's usually 1 to 3 miles less than what the car says

Mine came on too early two and I had to reset it twice. I am at 30% with 5600 miles and will change soon, perhaps this week.

Mine was doing the same thing. Got down too quick so I had to resort to resetting it twice. did the FF at 5800 miles. now my prob is dealer overfilled it and it is slow but atleast I got more oil in there for when I idle with Ac On and radio on too.

I only let it get to 15% this time because it was the first round and I wanted it to break in.

Usually I change it every 3k - 4k miles regardless of what the oil life indicator says.

The only argument that I can understand for not doing it that often is to space out the time between having to pay for the oil change. But I drive a lot, and as indicated above it seems that because of the conditions on my work commute and such I will burn through the oil life faster than the advertised 10k miles milestones.

Whatever. As long as my local guy uses the proper oil (which I will show him the owner's manual recommendation) then I am not too concerned about it.

Hopefully this isn't a really stupid question but I've searched the forum and can't find anything. When should I do my first oil change? I am petty sure Honda recomonded 5k but just want to be safe. I just hit 4K and I'm contemplating getting it changed now, especially since my first 2 are free... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To all: Did it seem like the MMS for oil change + filter, did it seem it was faster initially and then slowed or was it the opposite and other way around. Or was it steady eddie?

Honda recommends to do it when you're at 15%. I run to 0% before even thinking about it. Only downside is clearing the notice every time the car is started and having that darn wrench on the info display.

Just got my second oil change done last week at about 15,750, a few miles after hitting 5% on the MM.

Man I'm only at 60% right now at 4300 miles. I don't think I would feel comfortable going over 5k with the break in oil.

... and Jiffy Lube would have a fit because you went over 3,000 - with few very vocal exceptions most owners follow the owner's manual.
We went 7,765 miles before hitting "bingo". We're now at 66,000 and have no issues with our K24 Si.

I could be wrong but I could have sworn the owners manual says to change at 5k. I will have to double check after work. Either way thanks for the advice it's appreciated.
